I'd like to know if the wired Wii Classic Controller (not the WiiU one) is compatible with ZombiU. Does anybody know for sure?

Nope. Only Wii U Gamepad, Wii U Pro controllers, or Wiimote and nunchuk. Wii U gamepad is for singleplayer only. The other control methods are for multiplayer.
