Can someone explain the whole Gifting game thing?

Does the person who is recieving have to pay anything?

I just got my Wii yesterday and i have no points =(

nope the person that recieve do not pay a dime.. is a way of giving VC as well gift...

Someone would buy the game, but instead of just DLing would choose the "gift" option, then it would pop a windon asking to who you want it send (from the friend list on the wii contact) and the game would be send to that person...

Once the person recieve it, it just have to accept the gift and DL for 0 points...

No, just like you don't buy your own birthday gifts.

And you cannot send a game you own so someone else owns it instead. If you have Super Mario and you want to send Super Mario you need to buy another Super Mario to send away as a gift.
