Can the Wii satisfy & give a full gaming experience on its own?

The three questions are:
1. How often do you buy games?
2. Do you want an integrated and great online experience?
3. Do you want HD graphics?
These are the 3 components that Wii is lacking in, mostly due to lack of multiplats but also because of the hardware and Nintendo's policies.
2. Do you want an integrated and great online experience? I do like to play online a lot, I enjoy singleplayer games too but I definitely enjoy online multiplayer a lot.
3. Do you want HD graphics? I am fine with Nintendo's graphics.
It depeIf you have siblings or friends who gladly play with you a lot, you will find that the Wii can be one of the most fun gaming systems out there, but if you're looking for a good single player experience, the Xbox 360 is the way to go as the Wii doesn't specialize in that too much (except for a few notable exceptions like SUper Mario Galaxy and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption).
In my opinion though, you can't really get a true gaming experience with just one gaming console. You're still missing out on many other great exclusives. I say you should get both the Wii and the 360.

I fail to see how the 360 isn't "worth it" It has a huge library of great games and amazing online. Both things the wii lacks.

What!? Yes it is. :| It has the largest library with great games this generation. And yes they aren't all shooters. I have all 3 consoles and the 360 is very much worth every single penny.

Sure, I'd love to have a 360 before then (see my signature), but I'm not going to drop dead or anything if I can't afford it.
The Wii is just fine for me, at least for now, though I'm probably the minority in that opinion, since I'm not interested in online and I don't have an HDTV. It can be excruciating to suffer between the Wii's frequent droughts, but when the quality games do trickle in, they're usually worth it, and there's always something on the Virtual Console or an old "cult hit" I had overlooked on the Gamecube to keep me busy in between.
All in all, I'd say the previous poster's three questions are pretty good to go by.

And I wouldn't call replacing a button with a wiggle that revolutionary. The Wii's hardware is special, but the games aren't. And the tonsapon tons of ports prove my point. the Wii barely has any games that good it can call it's own. Just Super Mario Galaxy.

I agree with you on most of what you said although I've never played Metroid Prime 1 or 2 so I thought three was pretty good, and i was really suprised with how fun Umbrella Chronicles is.

Let me further expand the list, Fire emble: Radiant dawn, super paper mario, dragon ball z: BT3, medal of honor heroes 2, super mario strikers charged, Trauma center new blood, zelda: Tp, mercury metldown revolution, NiGhts jouney of dreams... and you also have to take into account the never ending list of VC games.
Whatever you do, do NOT get an xbox 360. It hardware is weak. I consider myself a "semi-hardcore" gamer and I owned it for a year and a half, (yeah just enough for the warranty to run out on it) then the hardware fails. Plus I agree with these other guys when a great portion of the games on it are mindless shooters. Call of duty series, ghost recon series, halo series, bioshock, gears of war, the list goes on. And all a shooter is is just shoot some guys, pick up the spread out guys, bomb a group of guys, rince and repeat. roughly 30 seconds of fun over and over again.
Shortly after my 360 broke, I checked out my friends' Wii. played metroid prime 3 for the first hour and i thought it was phenomonal. It's just more fun to play, and I love the old nes games.

Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3(why did you even list this game btw, Its horrible) vs Virtua Fighter 5

Again, Zelda Tp as an argument is weak sice it's really just a Gamecube game.
Alot of the games you have named aren't AAA material. It makes for a weak argument.
As for the virtual console, I think it's sad a person should rely on the library of different systems and only further proves hw weak the Wii is. And the 360's arcade goes toe to toe.

I don't want to quote any longer but in response to nintendogs most games you mentioned were mediocre and although the wii has some great games there is no denying that the 360 (granted it has been out longer) has much more in the way of great games. blink720X360 doesn't have great game. All it has is mindless games that encourage people to do mindless things
