With Super Mario 64, Mario Kart, and Diddy Kong Racing all generally coming from the 64 do you guys think they'll release any other old classics? I personally love all the old 64 games.

No I don't think so.
Most of the good N64 games are property of Rare, and therefore wont be able to make an appearance.

I do not want a port SSB though. I want a new SSB for DS. Plus, if they do, it will be a while after they release Brawl for the Wii.

Yes it is, so is Star Fox. Rare are allowed to make games for the DS because Microsoft doesn't have a portable system.

Ports? Nah...I don't think so. And it would be pretty pointless, considering the existence of Nintendo's VC Classics. We can dream all we like but, more than probably, not going to happen. UNLESS, Nintendo plays a move similar to the one on gba with the NES Classics series and presents the N64 Classics series. Still doubtful however considering the differences of the 2 piece of hardwares (they would have a hard time implementing analog controls on the Ds).

What im mainly talking about is conker, perfect dark, goldeneye, banjo and their properties. Any game with nintendos characters shouldnt be an issue.

Smash bros would be awesome...but it would have to be a new one. a port wouldnt be as good.

Not gonna happen. They just released it on the Wii VC though. Which brings me to my second statement...they're spending most of their porting effort on the Wii, it's really a better location for it, and much easier to port. Besides why do people keep wanting to turn the DS into the PSP (overloaded with ports instead of new games)?

Star Fox is not a Rare property, nor is Donkey Kong. Nintendo just let them makes games using their characters, just as Sega made an F-Zero game and Namco made a Star Fox game.

Yeah I realized that after I posted, I don't know what I was thinking, I remember reading somewhere about that, but I knew that Nintendo owned Star Fox and DK.

I totally agree. The DS has already released a lot of great hits without the port games..

And it may be a stupid idea but does anyone remember "Hey you Pikachu" for the N64.? I think a remake for the DS would be awsome..It does have a microphone soit would be a perfect fit..

Not really. Otherwise, the Ds would have already been flooded with ports. If you don't believe so, look at the gameboy advance. It is flooded with ports. Then, have a look on Super Mario 64 Ds. Can it control well? Passably enough, but can it give the same kind of great controls as in the original? I seriously doubt so. It would be difficult. Impossible? No, but the amount of time and work that Nintendo would have to do to bring ports could be used in 2 alternative ways: 1st) Bring these desired games on the Virtual Console and 2nd)  create sequels to these games. That way, Nintendo can be far more creative with their time and work.
