You want me to convince you to buy a Wii? sorry dude, if you dont like the console, you will never like it, it doesnt matter how much talk to you, how much games enlist you, you will not bought it.
Edit: On a second thought what the hell, i've got nothing to lose.
-Super Mario Galaxy
-Smash Bros Brawl
-The Legend of Zelda TP
-Tales of Symphonia 2
-Fatal Frame 4
-Disaster Day of Crisis
-Mario Kart
-Fire Emblem
-RE4
-Spore (hopefully)
-A possible Nintendo Surprise this E3
-Zack and Wiki
-Metroid Prime 3 Corruption
-Tons and tons of classic games in the VC
there are many reasons to buy a wii, but many may colide with the 360. the wii as many good games to play: including brawl, mario galaxy, metroid prime corruption, metal of honor heros 2, no more heroes, twilight princess, and many others. many of these games are much better if u have wifi, mostly metal of honor
many people dislike the wii b/c it lacks a new gen hardcore shooting game(aka halo3, cd4, unreal tournament)
games like mario galaxy, twilight princess, and brawl show that nintendo was at the top of thier game when they made it.
i mean its ur decision dude. the wii is all u could want in a consil it just lacks the power of an engine like the 360s that some peole think it needs to have.
I don't think you will like wii .deadmeat59
That's the first time I've seen someone be honest with one of these types of threads. Sometimes what you're interested in is not in your best interest.
You seem like you have a steady income and you'd be able to be afford a Wii. But truth is, I doubt someone as yourself, a hardcore gamer, would get into Wii that much. Truth is, Wii has less than 10 games that are actually worth buying and beating. The rest just seems like table scrap. Of course fanboys will name down 40 games that they feel are amazing but I'm no fanboy so I think you can relate to what I'm saying.
But here are some games that are exclusives and are great:
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
No More Heroes
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Zack and Wiki
Games that are coming out sometimes this year:
Mario Kart Wii (April 27)
Disaster Day of Crisis (TBA)
Wii is the only thing I do in my spare time and I always like playing my games. The game I have are:
Super Smash Bros. Brawl*
Medal of Honor* (might as well get it on 360...)
Mario strikers: Charged*
Need for speed: carbon (might as well get it on 360...)
Resident evil 4
Super Mario Galaxy
Metroid Prime 3
The legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Some games I sold are: Super Paper Mario, WarioWare.
*lots of replay value. The other games don't get too boring after first time though!
Those games are really good. BTW make sure you buy the component cables or not it will look like crap.

So he is a hardcore, then according to you why Fire Emblem and ManHunt 2 are less hardcore games than Halo 3?, i'm agree with the fact that he probably wouldn't like the Wii, but i don't get your definition of Hardcore, for me Halo 3 is a much more casual game than Fire Emblem. I'm not bashing anyone, but i'm surprised of how some people is still saying that the "Hardcores" are the ones who play Halo or GTA when thousends of gamers are kids of 12-14 years (i'm not saying that the Wii doesn't have kids titles and kids playing it) but the term Hardcore or Casual, i just dont get it anymore .

I didn't include Manhunt 2 because it's not exclusive and he said in his post "I would be very grateful if you could list some of the great Wii exclusives". And I didn't include Fire Emblem because I never played it so I have no reason to reccomend it.
And perhaps the word "hardcore gamer" is too subjective. All I meant is that there are more games to get on other console than there is on the Wii. To me a hardcore gamer is someone that plays video games a lot. He's always looking for the best title. Basically, a hardcore gamer makes time to play games whereas a casual gamer plays games on his free time. Now I did say that a hardcore gamer is someone always looking for the best titles and a lot amazing titles are on the Wii but whether or not they're actually good enough to spend about $400-$500 comes down to if he feels it's worth it. Like, after he beats them, what else is there?
