Can a Hardcore Gamer Find Reason to Buy a Wii???

I am a harcore gamer.
I play around 35+ hours a week.
I own a PS3, X360, PSP, and DS.

Here are some exclusive games that give me reason to own each of these different consoles:
PS3:
Resistance
Uncharted
Ratchet and Clank
Unreal Tournament
X360:
Halo 3
Mass Effect
Gears of War
Guitar Hero 2 (Exclusive DLC and extra songs)
PSP:
God of War
Patapon
Final Fantasy Tactics
Silent Hill Origins
DS:
Metroid Prime Hunters
Mario Kart DS
Mario Party DS
Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

I want to own a Wii just so I can experiance everything that the current generation of gaming has to offer. However, I am concearned that I might not get my money's worth because of the lack of games that interest me and harcore gamers alike. This is probably due to the fact that I never look at the news for Wii, so I don't know about any good exclusives that come out for it. My little brother owns a Wii, so it's not like I'm completely ignorant to what the console has to offer, I am just suspicious that I might buy the console and then 8 months later have no games I like to play on it.

So if you'd like to help me out...
I would be very grateful if you could list some of the great Wii exclusives,
games I could play 30+ hours,
much like the games listed above.

This includes both released and unreleased titles. Hopefully a good mix of both. The more the better!
Remember, I'm a harcore gamer, so Go, Diego, Go!: Safari Rescue would not be a good example.

No, but I do want to buy it.
Really bad actually.
I'm just nervous, and want some convincing to help me drop the cash.

there are many reasons to buy a wii, but many may colide with the 360. the wii as many good games to play: including brawl, mario galaxy, metroid prime corruption, metal of honor heros 2, no more heroes, twilight princess, and many others. many of these games are much better if u have wifi, mostly metal of honor

many people dislike the wii b/c it lacks a new gen hardcore shooting game(aka halo3, cd4, unreal tournament)

games like mario galaxy, twilight princess, and brawl show that nintendo was at the top of thier game when they made it.

i mean its ur decision dude. the wii is all u could want in a consil it just lacks the power of an engine like the 360s that some peole think it needs to have.

First of all, i shouldnt have to convice you to buy a product. Just take a look at the games that madsnake listed and if none of those interest you then dont even buy one itll be a waste of time and money for you. Just leave the "hardcore gaming" to your PS3 and 360.

no one should have to convince you to buy a console....if you're not sure you want it, then don't buy it....leave it for someone that actually wants it

I don't think you will like wii .deadmeat59

That's the first time I've seen someone be honest with one of these types of threads. Sometimes what you're interested in is not in your best interest.

You seem like you have a steady income and you'd be able to be afford a Wii. But truth is, I doubt someone as yourself, a hardcore gamer, would get into Wii that much. Truth is, Wii has less than 10 games that are actually worth buying and beating. The rest just seems like table scrap. Of course fanboys will name down 40 games that they feel are amazing but I'm no fanboy so I think you can relate to what I'm saying.

But here are some games that are exclusives and are great:

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
No More Heroes
Super Mario Galaxy
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Zack and Wiki

Games that are coming out sometimes this year:

Mario Kart Wii (April 27)
Disaster Day of Crisis (TBA)

Its your choice. You said you wanted to experience all that this current generation of systems has to offer. What more reason do you need? You still have plenty to play on your other systems even if the Wii library come up short.

Wii is the only thing I do in my spare time and I always like playing my games. The game I have are:

Super Smash Bros. Brawl*

Medal of Honor* (might as well get it on 360...)

Mario strikers: Charged*

Need for speed: carbon (might as well get it on 360...)

Resident evil 4

Super Mario Galaxy

Metroid Prime 3

The legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Some games I sold are: Super Paper Mario, WarioWare.

*lots of replay value. The other games don't get too boring after first time though!

Those games are really good. BTW make sure you buy the component cables or not it will look like crap.

So he is a hardcore, then according to you why Fire Emblem and ManHunt 2 are less hardcore games than Halo 3?, i'm agree with the fact that he probably wouldn't like the Wii, but i don't get your definition of Hardcore, for me Halo 3 is a much more casual game than Fire Emblem. I'm not bashing anyone, but i'm surprised of how some people is still saying that the "Hardcores" are the ones who play Halo or GTA when thousends of gamers are kids of 12-14 years (i'm not saying that the Wii doesn't have kids titles and kids playing it) but the term Hardcore or Casual, i just dont get it anymore .

I didn't include Manhunt 2 because it's not exclusive and he said in his post "I would be very grateful if you could list some of the great Wii exclusives". And I didn't include Fire Emblem because I never played it so I have no reason to reccomend it.

And perhaps the word "hardcore gamer" is too subjective. All I meant is that there are more games to get on other console than there is on the Wii. To me a hardcore gamer is someone that plays video games a lot. He's always looking for the best title. Basically, a hardcore gamer makes time to play games whereas a casual gamer plays games on his free time. Now I did say that a hardcore gamer is someone always looking for the best titles and a lot amazing titles are on the Wii but whether or not they're actually good enough to spend about $400-$500 comes down to if he feels it's worth it. Like, after he beats them, what else is there?

Check the list of games in the recommendation thread. If that isn't enough, you can ask more specific questions in that thread.
