Yes you can still play DS games on your DS. Even new releases. Calling the DSi crappy is just ignorant. It is far better than a regular DS Lite.
I currently have a DS lite and i don't want to replace it with a crappy DSI. Can i still play the newly released games?gabriel098
Your calling the DSi crappy... but you obviously know nothing about it.
Failure.

Haha agreed! i only hav a DS Lite but i want a DSi[QUOTE="fail_baby"][QUOTE="DeadlyX124"]
DS Lite can play gba games so isnt the score equal?
Cloud_765
Only if you failed math... :P
I wouldn't say that. The lack of a GBA slot on DSi is a major loss.To many, not in the slightest. I as well as many others never use the slot and/or have a different means of playing GBA games.

I wouldn't say that. The lack of a GBA slot on DSi is a major loss.Just buy a DSI and keep your old DS lite for the GBA games.

I wouldn't say that. The lack of a GBA slot on DSi is a major loss. Depends if you want to play old games or new upcoming games. One has unseen possibilities .The other doesnt. You can alternatively keep your gba around in the case of dsi. You cant do anything with a ds lite to play ds i games or dsware. But right now there aren't any exclusive DSi games so it's kind ofa moot point.
The answer to your question is "we don't know right now."

You know Nintendo has something in the works and Ubisoft said they have some stuff coming. Since it takesa while to make games, you could expect DSi games to take off in Q1 2010- Q4 2009 at the earliest.
we know for sure some games will be Dsi enhanced(that run in both ds and dsi).thats a stated fact(there is already a confirmed DSIE title). Thats something we know for sure. Obviously DSI ware is something you only can play on the DSI.The gba games can be alternatively played on...a gba. What we dont know is when are going to be Exclusive DSI titles(unlike DSIE titles those wont run on DS no matter what). But thats kinda the obvious way to go over time. Is a way to lenghten the lifespan of the ds and get the extra hardware power to some use.But right now there aren't any exclusive DSi games so it's kind ofa moot point.

In short:
nintendo announced at GDC DSI enhanced games are being developed right now. DSI enhanced means improved version of the game.
Dsi ware keeps being pumped just weeks after the release of the dsi. DSware cant be played otherwise but on the dsi.
the only thing we dont know when is the release of Only DSI titles that will not run in old DS`s.

I kind of thought this was so obvious it wasn't even worth specifying in my post.
I feel the same way, you can't even play Gameboy games on the DSi... But what I want to know is, "Can you play a 3DS on a DS, DS Lite, or DSi?"MyckelJaylol you bumped a like 2 year old thread for this?
