Can you really name one game on the Wii that looks better than Wind Waker?

Wind Waker is a Gamecube titleI know, but I just began playing it again last nightand its like playing a living cartoon. In 10 years time, it will still look good. Cellshading hasn't been done so well ever in a game in my opinion and I honestly believe that it looks better than most next generation games. Its just simply amazing the graphic in that game(the fire temple - out of this world). Now I haven't played many Wii games, but can you mention one game on the Wii that looks better than Wind Waker in all honesty and if yes, reasons!

80% of Wii games don't even hit GC level graphics. But I would have to say Wind Waker still looks amazing and could easily pass for a nextgen Wii game.

RE4 will eventually look dated, Wind Waker will not and that is because of the graphic style. It can never look bad. Try boatimng it up today. It beat most anime and cartoons in visual awesomeness!And yes SMG is a great looking game, but its graphic are not as timeless as Wind Waker! It basically looks like a highly polished PS2 game. Shadow of the colossis looks better than SMG!

see there is where your wrong

Okami on ps2 has a paper-filter thats the only diffrence between the wii and the ps2 versions

while the wii version has wide screen, and its more colorfull since the paper filter isnt there.

the only thing cut on the wii version is the ending, which is SAD, but everything eals is the same,

the controles for okami wii are actully pritty good, the only thing that dosent work is the dodging but i bearly use it.

for me both versions have their pros and cons.

And I'll echoe that MP3, SMG, and TP among several other wii titles look better.

I disagree with several of your points. Okami's look is a matter of liking. I do prefer Wii version because PS2 look to "washed out" for me and I prefer the vivid colours the Wii version has.

For SMG is way better than Shadow of Colossous and quite different art direction. I really don't think they can be fair compared If your original point was about cel shaded games, is more related to Okami, NMH, Madworld, than SMG, MP3.

I also think TLOZ:WW is a great game and the look is just wonderful, but there are several others right now which make good use of cel shaded to different purposes, Madworld is one of my current favorites, despite the camera issues the graphics are great, but then again, the environments are not comparable

WW is a stunningly artistic game, but it doesn't come close to mario galaxy, well ok, it does, but galaxy still has the best artistic and technical graphics on the wii [for now].

also little kings story is pretty great artistically as well, love the style especially during the cutscenes

For artistic style, Windwaker is among some of the best. I also recently took it off the shelf for a spin and totally agree. But I'm looking from an artistic standpoint. There are other games that marvel Windwaker because of game art. Even if it is cel-shaded or has totally futuristic graphics, what boils down is the games art rendering. If a graphically high end game such as Call of Duty: World at War (PS3) didn't have it's own unique art style then it would look like trash to me. Particularly, my favorite games in terms of art and graphics together (Nintendo) are: Killer7, Super Mario Galaxy, WindWaker, and I will say that despite criticism, Metroid Prime 3 is stunning.

I think Wind Waker looks better than just about any game on ANY next gen system. Thats kind of the nice thing about unique celshading techniques and overall style. Games like Wind Waker, Okami, Viewtiful Joe, and MadWorld are going to look fantastic for years and years. Its kind of how many 16-bit games look far more palatteable nowadays than 90% of all PS1/N64/Saturn games.

That being said, I think SMG is a more visually impressive game than Wind Waker, and will easily stand up next to it in terms of visual fidelity in the coming years.

Shadow of the Colossus does not look better than SMG.. it's not even close. Bland textures, blurry in many spots, don't get me wrong it was spectacular then and still good to look at now. But SMG in my opinion could arrival a 360 game no problem.

Hmmm..........got a small list here:

Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime Corruption, Brawl, Battalion Wars 2, The Conduit, Sonic Secret Rings (Frustrating but looks pretty good), Sonic Black Knight (Sucks but looks better than Secret Rings)

7 Wii games out of how many? That is lame, but High Voltage Software is using their Quantum 3 Engine with their two other Wii games that they will be making, so it will be 9 Wii games after E3, Especially since they improved it alot after the Conduit was finished.

Wind Waker is my favorite game of all time. But I would have to say that SMG surpasses it graphics. Galaxy mixes imagination with cutting-edge graphics to create a magnus opus of platforming.

Wind Waker had amazing graphics, but Super Mario Galaxy, and Twilight Princess had better.

But really, Super Mario Galaxy is the best looking Nintendo title, hands down. I may like Wind Waker more than SMG, but SMG is graphically, the best Nintendo game.

Yes Super Mario Galaxy is the best looking game on the Wii and nicer than Wind Waker that looks fantastic as well.

Wind Waker has good graphics in artistic way. I must say that Okami is better and even Muramasa is also better. Super Mario Galaxy is better. Monster Hunter 3 is the best right now.

I'm just happy that there are still people who appreciate the GameCube games. It just seems that with all these New Play Control games, it's almost as if Nintendo is trying to erase the GC from Nintendo's history by overwriting it with the NPC games.

GameCube had a lot of great stuff. It had the best analog shoulder buttons of any console, and it made wireless controllers cool again with the WaveBird (previous wireless controllers were infrared-based which weren't as good). And they had a lot of great games (Melee, Soul Caliber 2, Rogue Leader, RE4, Viewtiful Joe, Eternal Darkness, etc.). Some people even say that Animal Crossing was "before MySpace" as a fun social networking hub. The only thing GC lacked was solid 3rd Party support, but overall it was pretty good. I'm happy that the Wii is able to play GC games.

I still think Donkey Kong Jungle Beat is best played with the Bongos.

Wind Waker's art style is still very amazing, but I personally prefer Okami's art. Also, I think that Punch-Out is right up there with them, artistically. Finally, Twilight Princess managed to conveyits sense of darkness and trouble very well through its animations.
