Plus, the classic controller is so cool, and it reminds me of the old days. Plus you can also use it to pwn people over the internet for Smash Brothers Brawl.

nope, but gc controller can play nearly every single vc games. But a lot of snes games are hard to play with gc controller, and my first recommendation for ur game, metroid prime 3 corruptio!

No, you have to have a GameCube controller (wired or Wavebird) and a GameCube memory card to save them.
As for the wiimote, you can use it for the NES and turbografx games. The SNES games, I would use the classic controller. As for the N64 games, I use the GameCube controller.
The Wiimote may be used for all NES and TG games, and many Genesis games (technically all thus far, though many map a critical function to the A button, which makes them awkward to play).
For SNES and N64 games, you must us either a Cl@ssic controller or GCN controller. The former is better if you play a lot of SNES games, as the latter's button layout can prove awkward for many of these.

wow ty guys, everyones so nice on the Wii boards... not like the PS3/ 360 boards... what are some other good games? i might get Far cry cause its cheap and then metroid prime...what are some good accessories?
Nintendo and Genesis games can use the Wiimote, everything else needs either a GC controller or a classic controller.
As for accessories - get the nyko charger station. For the $30 you spend on it, you would otherwise go through that same amount of money in batteries within a month or so. There's not really much else out there besides remote covers and component cables.

Start out with Metroid Prime 3 and Resident Evil 4.. Super Paper Mario is also a great buy. :)
