(Canada) The Zellers Ad Is A Scam!! (Need false advertising advice)

This week Zellers has advertised in their flyer 2/$40 Nintendo Wii and Gamecube Games. But now they have an update on their website that the sale only applies to Wii/GCN versions of Twilight Princess, and they are $40 each.

Is this too big of a difference in the original ad for them to get away with? Will they have to give me the games at the listed price? What can I do to get the games from them?

PS2, PS, Xbox, and GBA games on the same page are also all listed at $20.

Otherwise I am going to try and get another store to price-match the ad.

No it is not a scam. It is a misprint and due to the fact that they issued a correction. No they didn't do anything wrong and no you or anybody else, do not have a legal right to that price.

Maybe if you complain enough you can get the listed price but... then people will think you are a jackass.:)

I never thought it applied to any GCN/Wii combination... The ad seemed pretty obvious that it was just TP. Though maybe my flyer looked different than yours, though.

It doesn't seem obvious at all. They showed TP for Wii and GCN, but that doesn't mean it only applies to those games. They can't show all the games at once, so they just give an example of them. And it does say "2/$40 Nintendo Wii and Gamecube Games", with no limits or specifics.

There is a HUGE difference between ANY 2 games for $40, and ONE, SINGLE, SPECIFIC game for $40. I hope someone gets fired over this 'misprint'.

i went to zellers and asked about the ad. they already had a poster up saying that it was a mistake but to make up for it they were offering zelda for $20, down from $40, down from $60. so i got it. i also got some dumb coin in another zelda case, so im going to print off the wii sports cover and put it the second case so i can have a wii sports case. i already beat zelda though.
