I recently purchased Contra 4 and gave it a 8.9/10. An 8.9 is pretty high, and I was thinking should Konami capitalize on an already amazing Contra game. I was thinking more of releasing a Contra 1 remake, adding in a couple of new stages, new weapons, and unlockables similiar to Contra 4. Do you think this is a good idea? :?
Never been a big fan of Contra, however I enjoyed Contra 4, if they can fix the punishing difficulty so I can actually finish the game then I'd be all for it.

The difficulty is part of wat makes contra so Kick A$$. I dont think they need to remake the first seeing how its unlockable on Contra 4 just like Super C. What wouldnt be a bad idea is a remake of all the old contras in one game.

Kickass, yeah. But I'd like an option instead of being forced into 4 lives and you're out.
Anways, I would like to see a remake of games such as "Shattered soldier" and the hardest Cotnra game there is (whatever that is). My only gripe with Contra 4 is that its way too short for my taste.

wait you beat it on hard and all the challenges. holy cow. i have only beaten it on easy. i have only beat 14 of the challenges also but im not that good. my buddy has beaten almost all of them and has almost beaten it on hard but he plays it way more than me. You have done that u must be good.
A compilation with Contra, Super C, Contra III and Contra: the Hard Corps; all with improved graphics (similar to graphics on Contra 4), but with the same gameplay would be awesome.
