Castlevania OoE so far

what do you think of the new attack system?

I love it, not my favorite battle system but its an awesome change.

The bosses are insanely challenging, I just fought the crab boss (who whipped my ass about 7 times) which was soooo much fun.

I know. I was surprised he killed me too. :lol: got him the second time though. ;)

Is it really that difficult because Iga said that it was programmed to begin easy, then once you finished the game harder modes would be available.

I would really like to play...I just wet myself...

I JUST found out why Im getting owned so much.... I DONT HAVE ANY ARMOR! Lol, I was progressing so much, having fun experimenting with Glyphs that I totally forgot to buy armor. Now my health doesnt go down by 1/4 everytime frankenstein hits me!

I got out of there with 2 hp left. :lol:

Its a little bit more challenging in the beginning than the other two CV on the DS.

the same thing happend to me. after a few times id make it to the next phase and get killed again. and then it just kept goin. i thought he was only suposed to move up the tower 2 or 3 times. lol. i love the new system of collecting weapons and stuff way more than just finding them laying around. and using mp for every attack just makes the game more challenging to finsih on the first run. i just got past the skeleton cave. i cant beat the water boss now. lol. but then again im, pretty low leveled right now too

Rofl, the other CV DS IMO werent hard at all. In all honesty, I only died around 5 times in a full playthrough of both.... OoE is a WHOLE 'nother story :P

[spoiler] Pff, I just killed the Crab in the Lighthouse. I died 3 times, I think, then I found out that I could just sit in the left corner almost all the time. He got very easy then. [/spoiler]

Indeed. Discover the tricks of the boss is a big part of the fun. Makes me wish the Zelda series would have harder bosses..

I don't doubt there will be even funner bosses in OoE, though. :)

Well, Ive only fought 3 bosses so far so yeah, there's bound to be some more fun bosses along the way.

I found the skeleton boss to be pretty fun as well. I couldnt beat him until I got the axe armor Glyph :P.

ididnt know the elevator ws the giant enemey crabs weakpoint i had to attack to do massive damage. i was stanindg still using lightning bolts for like 5 min.

has anyone beaten the game yet? i need help where i am cause at the jail place i need to know how to go up the tower ive already beaten the crab boss dsgamer969

Go ahead and buy Order of Ecclesia, the previous games can wait. Then you can compare the new to old rather than vice versa. :D

I love the battle system. The crab boss was pretty tough, got him on my 3rd try :). Right now I am on the second boss, the huge skeleton.razzack9

I haven't had much time to play, I am up to that crab right now, and it has already sent me to my grave 3 times! LOL

I've got to say, I love the visuals of this game. And playing with a female character is sweet, cause she seems like she has more agility then the guy protagonist from all the other CV's... But i'm 100% sure she's not any faster etc, just seems like it?-_Cloud_-

She seemed faster to me too, but I thought it was just because I had not played a Castlevania game in a while.

To me it's Order Of Ecclesia > Dawn Of Sorrow > Potrait Of Ruin. And yes POR is considered the least favourite among the 3.

suxx b/c i purchasd that one first and kinda spoiled my appetite to buy anymore castlevania games. i will buy DoS (used to be safe) and if that fails then im done w/ the belmonts

It was a 7 hour game :P, not long at all. I played for around 2+ hours a day ;).
