I am really psyched about the new Castlevania game just recently announced! The only thing that kinda upsets me is that I thought that the famous '1999' game would come around this time by now. I LOVE Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin. Have there been any words on plot or gameplay mechanics? Thanks in advance for answering any questions.

P.S- If there has been some info on it, sorry I didnt research it yet because I was out for a couple of days and came to IGN and GS right away to see it revealed.

There is only one video and it's a video interview. However, 1UP has a preview of the game and I think they revealed something about the weapon system. I read about this on DSFanboy so you might want to check there too.

From what i read, the story is that the Belmonts are missing (this is after SotN), and there's nobody to challenge Dracula. There are a number of groups who come out to challenge Dracula, and the Order of Ecclesia are the best. Shanoa is their best member, too.

There are no actual in-hand weapons. There are glyphs, which take the form of weapons and that you can equip to Shanoa. Combining attacks/glyphs can do even more damage, and all glyphs use up MP, which regenerates over time.

Check Wikipedia for more info.

Stupid, stupid glyph system ( I hope I'm proven wrong, but...)

I want a belmont again, and with a whip too. I really liked portrait of Ruin for bringing back the whip. Now it just needs moar belmont

Along with Advance Wars, the Castlevania series has been my favorite reason to own a GBA then DS (except for HoD, which I didn't care for). I'll be first in line for what I expect to be another fine addition.
