CD or DVD player from Wii shop channel

Do you thik nintendo will ever make a CD or DVD player that can be downloaded from wii shop channel like the Internet Browser and everybody votes channel?

No.

The Wii already can play MP3's and DVD players are 20 dollars. DVD in a console was big in 2000, we're past that. Unless it's a next gen player there's no reason to add it to the Wii.

Edit: Also, Supposedly Sonic Solutions is going to make an upgrade for the wii to enable DVD playback although the article is over half-a-year old.

it depends, becuz more technolgy is coming out and if wii can support dvds in the future, then they will be licensed with a high tech optical disc, thats wat i think.ds_wiirocks

Buy a DVD player. The DVD playback is one of the most useless thing on a console.

It's the same thing for the Blu-Ray playback on the PS3.
