I loved "CoD: World At War" in a lot of ways, there are a tone of things to do and they vary the missions and such nicely but I really think you might get more pick-up-and-play out of "Chinatown"... this from a CoD FREEK. The game (WaW) is just a bit under-polished and a few of the difficulty choke points are outrageous... definitely get your money's worth out of it getting all the medals and such, and the online is full of hackers so don't even bother signing that on.

Hope this helps.

Depends what you want, really. Chinatown Wars is a terrific game, but if all you want in a mindless shooter, its obvious that call of duty is the better choice.

Let's not get personal... it's FAR from mindless and that's what you infer about fans of the genre when you lay down such phrasing... you actually get tested pretty well in the variety of missions and tasks (not all of which include exploding some sort of ordinance), and it all takes some skills and a steady hand. Some of the stuff in "WaW" is the most difficult I've seen on the DS. It's a good game, probably the favorite I bought last year for the system (out of a dozen games). Far from "mindless".

All of that said, I still think "Chinatown" is going to be a better fit for the poster.

i have both and each is great in its own right. but IMO, there is way more content in GTA. and the wifi is better in COD. but you cant go wrong with either.

"Let's not get personal"? I'm sorry, but I don't believe video games take criticisms to heart.

Chinatown Wars easily! It's amazing (and yes this is coming from someone who has played COD 5 as well!). COD was a bit bland IMO

Of all the DS games I've played, almost no other game had me coming back for more quite like GTA Chinatown Wars. I'd highly suggest you get that.

I have both Chinatown and COD; I love them both. COD has one of the most intense wifi multiplayers that can be found on the ds. Chinatown has an extremely deep single player experience. I play COD more often than I do GTA-- in fact I play COD more often than I do all my other ds games combined. COD's multiplayer is the games saving grace because despite a fun campaign mode and challenges, it lacks replay value. GTA, on the other hand, has amazing replay value albeit repetitive. The missions of Chinatown are decent but the sheer depth of the game makes up for it. What your decision really comes down to is: Do you have Wifi. If the answer is yes, COD wins hands down; if no, go with GTA.

sorry for such a long post :$
