Has anyone noticed the slots on the back of the classic controller that open up when you press the button in between the z buttons? what do these slots do?

They probably had plans for that, or something similar, so they built them into the design process and by the time they decided not to do that they were too far along the development process to take them out.

it's for attaching the wiimote to it. Either to put it out of the way, or maybe step one in the megazord controller

With the steering wheel, the zapper, and the balance board, the Megazord controller will soon be complete!

I'm sure they're planning to make a rumble pack feature to add on the back of the classic controller.
