I recently took a good look at my White DS Lite and it is getting kind of Nasty, the shoulder buttons are now a very off white, finger prints every where and there is junk stuck between the plastic of the frame (if that makes sense).

How do you clean your DS, if you do at all?

I would just carefully use a fine tipped object of some kind to get the stuff from between the cracks of the frame. You should consider cleaning your DS with a soft cloth more frequently so it doesnt get so dirty.

And, the thing about the L+R buttons, I dont know if those clean up. I saw one dirty like that, and it was my deciding factor in getting a black DS.

I use a rubber body guard so it helps to prevent grime buildup. However, I did to a complete cleaning a couple of months ago. I just took the whole thing apart and with a clean washcloth and some qtips I cleaned all the contacts with 91% isopropyl, and I washed all the plastic in the sink with hot soapy water. Dried everything off and put it back together. Looked brand new. You can find the trywing screwdriver almost everywhere now. Keep a bowl on hand for the screws and rubber contact pads so you dont lose them. Also when cleaning the contact pads, make sure the isopropyl is 91% or better. The more common 70% tends to leave an oily residue. The alcohol dries pretty quick, but make sure each pad is dry before you put it back together.
