Yesterday i was playing my super mario galaxy when i noticed the wii was making a rather loud clicking noise. I knew this wasnt right so i quickly shut it off and checked the disc for scratches. There was not a single scratch on it. so i checked zelda and it was still making the noise. Then i put wii sports in and it stopped making the clicking so i thought everything was ok.I went back to Mario. Now today i checked and its got about 5 rather large circular scratches on the disc. This worries me because i believe the laser in the wii is screwed up. Now i am afraid to play anything and have a scratched up SMG :(

I think it is a problem of the wii, maybe the laser is screwed up, just call nintendo, and tell them that the laser also scratched your mario

Then call Nintendo tell them what happened and your games were scratched. Do what they say when they ship the coffin to you. Do not move the console when it is accessing a game never ever do that with any game console. If you want your saves or vc game purchases tell them you want it back as well otherwise they will not transfer it. Sheesh why are so many people clueless about how product replacement/repair works these days?

weird. I've heard my wii make the occasional clicking sound but I've never noticed scratches. I thought it was just a sound it makes when it has to process a lot of things at once kinda like lag. When my comp gets into a lag position it whirrs so I thought it was the same concept.

You have to tell the phone rep. They make a note on the repair order.
