I went with the posters for the sole fact that Pikmin is included as one of the three.
To be honest though these rewards are quite lame. I shouldn't complain one bit honestly since they don't have to do anything, but I spent a poop ton of money on Nintendo this year and to get 3 posters is sort of lame. At least give me a 20 dollar eshop credit or something...

I went with the Majora's Mask soundtrack. I was tempted by the posters, but Wind Waker, 8-Bit Luigi, and Pikmin didn't totally win me over in the end. The rewards are on the lame side. They could have been better.
its btwn mario smash bros and sakura samurai for me. i already get free calenders every year. does anyone have feedback and preference btwn those 2 game i mentioned?chenzo22
WTF?
Get a real thing and then sell it on Ebay, they're crap don't get me wrong but someone will buy it.
Why waste it on games you can normally buy?
Ugh, I know that stuff is essentially free bonus material but thats an awful selection to chose from.
Some games I can buy already? Posters? A soundtrack cd that looks like it is just in a cardboard sleeve? A calendar?
I miss the old club nintendo that had the gold mario trophy, the super mario statue/figure and so on. The last few years have sucked since my best choices were a set of buttons and a deck of cards.
Oh well, I guess Ill just get the soundtrack.
I must admit that I am also disappointed with this selection. It briefly crossed my mind to simply ignore the offer and let it expire, but that would be wasteful.
Question.
Whats the difference between platinum status and elite status? Ive seen nintendo mention both, are they the same thing or different? Ive only ever gotten platinum status.

Elite status includes both gold and platinum, the latter being of higher rank. And, yup, the quote came from IT.
Not sure why people are complaining about free stuff. I know they're not the best rewards but it's atleast SOMETHING compared to the nothing everyone else gives you.

Perhaps you havent seen the free stuff other countries Club Nintendos give out?! They get controllers and statues and cool physical items that arent cheap. We went from a Mario hat, that awesome character statue, that pin/button set, and a pack of Platinum playing cards to........paper, a cd, and some roms that I could download for free right now!
Edit- They sent me the Ocarina of Time Soundtrack for just buying that one game, so the "best" item is even more cheap now!
Seriously, and people are complaining about it.As someone who lives outside the US and Canada, I wish I could get any of those for free. :P
Pierst179
It's f*cking free. You're getting something for doing nothing but buying games you would have bought anyways. I can't believe people feel so entitled they're complaining about free stuff. What a joke.HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Well people were certainly right to wait for this every day.
So users can choose from
Or
or
Again, Nintendo is too good to us, I wonder what I'm going to pick with my platinum status.

I'm deciding between the poster set and the calendar.
A cool Elite Status gift would have been ALL of those things. Just sayin'.
Can't say much, since I haven't done much with Club Nintendo for years now. When you're not buying very many Nintendo-related games and don't have the two current Nintendo platforms (3DS and Wii U), there's not much incentive to register products and take surveys for coins, unfortunately. :|
and i thought they couldnt be crappier than last years "gifts"
guess, ill be gettin the soundtrack that i prolly wont open
...
lame :(
i got the cd, i dont know whypeople complain, and they had 4 games to choose i already had 3 of them not into that samaruai 1 so i got the cd,
better selection then last yr thats sure
Yeah man, how dare Nintendo give away free stuff that are not up to your standards! Those greedy assholes. That was obviously sarcasm by the way. They didn't have to do this and bitching about it is pretty damn immature. Like a kid in a toy store when his parents don't buy him anything.and i thought they couldnt be crappier than last years "gifts"

I'll be picking up the poster set. Pikmin is my favourite franchise of all time, Wind Waker is one of the best games I've ever played, and I've always preferred Luigi over Mario throughout the years

To be totally honest and fair, I didn't want to go to a toy store if I couldn't actually get anything. If you're going to put me through that, I'd rather be left at home, where I was probably totally fine. Although, being told you can go to a toy store and never actually getting there is probably worse. :P
What exactly does this have to do with the topic, I'm not exactly sure. Just felt like adding something.

Here is the description of the Soundtrack CD gift.
Enter the world of Majoras Mask with the stirring music from the game. This re-released 2 CD set features the entire soundtrack of this classic Zelda title and will be packaged in a double-CD jewel case. All songs were written and composed by Koji Kondo, except three by Toru Minegishi.

Damn I even more wish I had platinum status nowHow? I already have it digitally... and it's available everywhere.... It's just a cheap CD in a cardboard sleeve...The Majora's Mask CD is the obvious choice here.

I had no desire to get another CD of I will never listen to. The posters seem like obvious choice to me. I wanna get them in frames at some point. The Majora's Mask CD is the obvious choice here.

Looks like I'm getting the calendar. I'll most likely sell it. I own everything else besides Sakura Samurai and I'm not interested in that game. Didn't reach Platinum this year, but I don't mind since I'm not a poster guy and the CD will only collect dust after the first use.

See, now this is more like it.
It's not the fact that you're getting something for free, it's the fact that Nintendo touts a prize at the end of the year that's going to be really great.
"Buy our stuff all year long and at the end of the end of the year we're going to give you something really great to show our appreciation."
I mean we're constantly told all year long it's going to be something so amazing that they'll let us know the second it's available and then we see this...
So I don't want to hear "oh it's for free" because it's not, they're not going out of their way to do this just because. This is a program that they've had as an incentive for buying their products retail and digitally. It's part of the deal.
We spent the money and we now see the prize
What a beauty
