Club Nintendo Elite Status Rewards up... then taken down

Yes, that's what happened. They were up for a while, then taken down because they were glitching for a lot of people (myself included). I guess we'll see them again later today, when the glitches are fixed :P

The rewards are:

• Platinum Mario Playing Cards (Platinum)
• Limited Edition Poster Set (Platinum)
• Club Nintendo Calender (Platinum & Gold)
• Super Mario Kart (Wii) (Platinum & Gold)
• Metroid 2: Return of Samus (3DS) (Platinum & Gold)
• Mario vs Donkey Kong: Minis March Again! (3DS) (Platinum & Gold)
• The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (Wii) (Platinum & Gold)

uhh...am i the only one who's kind of underwhelmed by these rewards this year?

I'm still really mad at myself that i missed that amazing mario and friends statue...and this year i was determined to get platinum...and I did, and crap :( lol

If the Elite Status Rewards were up on Club Nintendo, everyone would've received an email about them from Nintendo. I've checked my inbox and haven't received anything yet so. Also why would they be giving games out to both Platinum and Gold members? These rewards don't make any sense...

Is the reward only one of those items????

because i already have all 4 of those games.... why would i want that as my reward.

If these are the real prizes I will get the poster set. I already have 3 Club Nintendo Poster sets.

Didn't get Elite Status this year, I guess the best reward out of those would probably be the playing cards.

That's all kind of bleh. I guess I'll get the posters since i'm not really interested in playing cards. I think it would of been cool if they did some statuette like from a couple years ago or even posters(even though that'd stil be underwhleming) that celebrated the wii. you could of had like Jack from madworld, travis touchdown, the king from little king's story, and others all around nintendo characters. Think that would been a cool way to give a great memory to people of all the games on wii, big or small.

I'd definitely get Metroid 2. It's the last Metroid I haven't played/beaten.

I think they are getting the rewards ready because it is down for site maintenace.

Metroid II is the only thing that interests me.

I don't need playing cards, a calendar, or more posters, and I already have the other VC games.

Why is it that I can only get the Platinum Cards or Calender? It doesn't let me choose any others. Is it supposed to be like that?

For some reason im only seeing the gifts that were offered last year.

Gotta say I'm pretty disappointed with this. I missed platinum status back when they were giving away the statue of all the main Mario characters, but managed reach platinum the first time when they put up these lame prizes.

Well I ordered the Mario Playing Cards, they're the best Platinum reward this year and that's not saying much :|

I was tempted to order the posters but the only one I really cared about was the Skyward Sword one, but it's not really much different from the other Zelda posters that were available on Club Nintendo earlier this year for the 25th anniversary. Link's doing pretty much the exact same pose but the Master Swords tilted at a slightly different angle and it has basically all the same characters, the only difference is that it has a gold background. The Luigi's Mansion 2 and Kid Icarus posters are meh, Kid Icarus is just the boxart for Uprising. And the game downloads aren't worth reaching Platinum status for, especially considering the only game I don't have out of those 4 is Metroid 2: Return of Samus.

Oh well, free is free I guess and the Playing Cards will look nice next to my Mario Hat, Mario Statue and Pin Set.

Went ahead and chose the playing cards...posters don't interest me and will prolly just get torn up when i move again because somehow my posters can never survive moving, lol

and after looking at the close up pics of the cards and reading that it's high quality plastic and not paper makes the cards a little more appealing....still no statue though..........

Next year Platinum Elite Reward will be a super awesome Mario Napkin. Totally dissapointed :(

I got Gold Status,so I can finally get Majora's Mask.I'm so excited! :D
