CN year is over! Did you get platinum status? (-new rewards available-)

As you may know, Nintendo is crazy, and they consider that New Year stats on July.

And with that a new CN year begins. Did you get platinum or gold status? Or you only bought Zelda and COD this year?

Anyway, they haven't announced the special rewards yet, it only says "Elite Gift announcement coming soon - Stay tuned!"

In other news, new games are available in exchange for coins... this time is Mario Tennis (N64 - Wii's VC) for 150 coins and Electroplankton Rec-Rec (DSiware for the eShop) for 100 coins.

And to add to the weirdness, these games won't last a month like it always have been; Mario Tennis will be available until July 22 (¿?) and Electroplankton only until July 15. I consider this a good thing, that way we will get more options in the games we can use our coins.

So what do you think? Are you going to use your coins in these games? I had Mario Tennis a looooooooooong time ago, but will nostalgia be enough to get the game? As for Electroplankton... I already have one of those, and it was a waste of 200 DSi points. Maybe this one is better though, cause you can record your voice. Oh, but you can already do that on DSi Sound! Well, screw Electroplankton then. :P

Yes, but purchasing Nintendo Select versions of Mario Power Tennis and Pikmin 2, I was able to reach Platinum status for a third year in a row with 610 Coins. I just pray that the awards will be better than last year.

Crap! I totally forgot about it. I was 40 coins away with enough surveys left to make it to platinum, but I told myself that I'd do one or two surveys a day leading up to July 1st. I did one or two on that first day and now it's July 1st. :evil:

Gold Status. Lot of good it did though /sarcasm :P The main problem was that most of my surveys expired before I did them.

I got Platinum status in Janurary when I went and registered games from years back. I had 1400 some I think. Spent it on the 3DS game cart thing, a shirt, a blooper fan, and the starman carry bag thing.

I got 1240 coins "last year", so I definetely got Platinum status.:!:

That's exactly how I do it

Register the oldest games first and do the oldest surveys first, that way I have a steady rotation of coins.

Right now I still have a bunch of games to register and over 30 surveys to do.

I didn't even get Gold. I was 80 coins short.

I probably won't be getting Mario Tennis. I guess I'll keep waiting until they add something really good.

Never. The coins you earn during a year (from one July to the next) contributes to the Gold/Platinum status. Whether or not you get enough for that or not, your Gold/Platinum progress resets in July, but you never actually lose the coins which you can use on the different regular rewards.

Yeah I managed to get to platinum with 620 coins this year. I can;t wait to see what the reward is this time. I'm always hopeful there's something pikmin related :)

Yup, I reached Platinum status with 640 coins this year.

This is the 3rd year I got Platinum Status with 750 coins. Last year I was only 20 points away from getting Gold.

But this year I purchased a 3DS and I think I will get Platinum this upcoming year because I plan on getting the 3DS XL and purchasing a Wii U at launch.

Got it with 870 but I'm new to this do I have to get another 600 coins to reach platinum to get the special reward this year or it would count towards next years reward?SantiRupee

I kept going 'cuz I figured it would be pretty easy to get Platinum this year, and I have some console codes saved up.

I'm also going to use all the code's from my dad's Pokemon games. :D

Been platinum every year so far. I have 890 coins, saving for the Game and Watch at 1200 coins. Ive got the 2 G&W DS games, the Star Messenger Bag, the Mario Hat, Mario characters statue, Mario buttons, that Zelda collection for Gamecube, some Metroid demo disc, a pink DS stylus for registering a Kirby game, and probably some other things all from being a member of Nintendo.com even before Club Nintendo. This was all from games I was going to purchase anyways so I cant complain!

This is the first time I've ever gotten platinum. 3rd party 3ds games having points helped out.

I was 60 coins short of platinum, there was nothing I particularly wanted to buy that would get me those 60 coins.

I got gold status. I could have been a platinum member if they didn't change the original release date for The Last Story. UGH!! :evil: Also, my Pokemon Conquest order is taking forever to get to my house...so sad. :(
