CoD:WaW Wii sales going up

According to VG Chartz, CoD:WaW Wii has surpassed 400,000 games sold for the week ending December 27th (with "other" yet to be counted). The number of units sold is on a rising trend no doubt due to Christmas and possibly due to some availability issues early on (but this is pure speculation). All in all, not bad for a gimped game. I hope this game reaches a million copies sold so the next version is the complete game.

My personal opinion is this is a great game though the sniper levels are boring and the multiplayer was a half hearted effort. Still, I'd rather have this game on the Wii than any other console due to the controls (though I wouldn't mind the PC version either).

Good, I have this game and it's a great game. Every wii owner should have it. And in terms of game play it sets the bar high for the conduit.

I bought it two days ago. Sold out at Best Buy. Got it at GameStop. Got my ass handed to me online.

This game is awesome! Definately a must buy for wii owners! The single player is great, and the online play is better. Hopefully more third party developers make more first person shooters on the wii. I think the controls on the wii make it perfect for first person shooters. I had an Xbox 360, and I've played first person shooters on the 360, and those games were great but the controls never felt right. Thats why I think the wii has the advantage on first person shooters over the other consoles. Hopefully those third party developers begin to see that.

Yeah, playing against real, living people takes some practice. And just when you start feeling like you're getting the hang of it, you join a new game and get your ass obliterated. Keep practicing....

The Best Buy I went to had a bunch of copies left, glad I picked one up. I'd been doing tons of research on it. It's one of the best shooters and available and definitely the best shooter on the Wii.

keep practicing and once your lvl gets up you'll be alright. I was once told even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in awhile

First of all, let me go on record in stating that my favorite shooters are everything in the Battlfield and Star Wars Battlefront series -- nothing beats games like this for online play. Having said that, CoD:WaW is almost amazing. With a little more work on Multiplayer, it would be amazing and I'd be harrassing every Wii owner that didn't own the game (hey, if it's a good game, everybody should buy it -- right?). It's still well worth the price tag though and the Wii version is the best version for consoles. At least you don't have to pay for a free service like you do on the 360. I'd imagine the PC version is the best overall, but my PC is outdated and doesn't belong in my living room, which is where I want to play so I can sit in style. I keep saying this, but I really don't understand the attraction of shooters you control with analog sticks.

I agree that analog controls are not as responsive or accurate as PC controls or the Wii remote. At least the PC get plenty FPS. Few developers take the Wii seriously. And when they do, like COD:WAW, it SELLS. If The Conduit sells too, maybe they won't be so ignorant.;) Maybe.

400k in 2 months is well deserved, it's a great game. If it gets to around double that devs shouldn't have any excuse that the FPS userbase isn't proven on Wii.

Good to see that the Wii finally has a worthy fps and it's selling pretty well. Hopefully this'll show developers that actually putting in effort to release a decent fps on Wii isn't a waste of time.
