Come to share my sorrow ;(

 into.    Today (Saturday) in the morning i went to Toys 'R' us and failed to get a wii. yipee!!!

Body:     they had only 20 and we had to line up. I went 1 hour before the store opens and had like 40 ppl in front of me when i was in line. When it was time for the store to open this ticket lady came out of her car and handed the first 20 ppl in line tickets! Thats like only 1/4 or less of the line. the 20th person in line who was the last to recieve a ticket reached the store ar 7 am! store opens at 9:30 am. Im curious wen the first person went there... When we went inside the store they said only ppl with tickets can get the wii because there were only 20... im so sad .. I had to chyll in da friggin COLD for 1 hour for nuthn. my toe nails were all freezing and paining.!!!  Is there an easier way to get a wii then "randomly getting wii shipments" stores. or any online thing like ebay. I've checked sites of many stores adn they never have an online availability of it when i check!

Just get them to keap one for you......I got mine affter waiting for the shipments to come 5 days in a row,I was number 12 of 15 :)

well.. anyone of you have a friend or relative in any store around ontario in the brampton, mississauga, or toronto area that carries wiis so they can hold on for me when they get one.. if they say yes message me peez.. ill giv da info

Seems like Wal Mart is a good place to check for Wii's. That's where I found mine, and a lot of other people have too. The one in my town gets their shipments in the afternoon though (so if you saw some at 8:00 PM that doesn't mean they sat there all day). I got mine at about 3:00pm and they had just gotten them in. The store I went to before that also had just gotten their electronics shipment in and said that when they do get the Wii it's usually around that time. Some stores like Best Buy don't stock until after closing time, but stores open 24 hours will usuall put things like that out as they get them... which tends to be afternoon.

My cousin went yesterday here in Vancouver.. he lined up 2 hours before, only to not get one.  Apparently there were a ton of people in line for no reason, because I guess an hour or so earlier 20tickets were already handed out, and no one cared to tell anyone else.

I was so lucky in getting my Wii cause my friend's-girlfriend's-dad bought one for me cause he managed to stumble on one at Superstore.

Which was lucky for me, cause I gave up looking in mid-January, and a month and a half later I got one.  I say, if you can hold off, then hold off... call EB.. or try Wal-mart/Superstore, because I've been hearing bigger shipments go there.

Do what I did, sit outside the store for ten hours before opening to get one.

Solution, pre-order the next gen's console. Well since that'll be a while off, you could line up a few hours before with a DS (chances someone else will have one too so you can have some multiplayer fun!) and wait in the cold. Or wait until summer and wait in the warmth, either is good...

Or a sneaky way to do it is, to get a job at EB Games! You can secure yourself a Wii, plus get cheap games for it! Everyone's happy! I would try to get a job at EB but they probs won't accept 15 year olds...

My solution: Next time, get there two or three hours early with a good book, a ds, some warm winter gear, and a textbook from English class.maclotr

Also, I can't believe Wiis are still being lined up for! This is great, I wonder how long it will go on like this...

lol, I didn't even have that exact problem getting one. Here in Mexico, things change because you can't (or at least I've never seen) make lines on stores. Maybe against law? idk. What happened was that I ran in the mall everywhere for one. First I went to Liverpool (USA's  equivalent is Macy's) and they were sold out, then to another dept. store, sold out, then to the next one, none, then to the last one in the mall, and I got the last one! :D

I had some luck to it, but still I can feel your sorrow.:cry:

Next time try internet, most of my friends did get one quickly.

I didn't have any of those, I froze like hell out there at launch night. Take his advice.
