Component cables offer the best possible picture quality and enable the Wii games to be displayed in 480p[QUOTE="kokopelli76"][QUOTE="RandomTask221"]They are not the same cable. Why does everyone watn this component cable if its the same thing as the VA cables that already come with the wii?

Component video cables plug into component inputs. They allow 480p, as opposed to the 480i signal that standard cables do. If those things don't mean anything to you, then you don't want the cables. For people with HD or ED TV's these cables allow better resolution, clarity and detail.[QUOTE="RandomTask221"][QUOTE="kokopelli76"][QUOTE="RandomTask221"]They are not the same cable. Why does everyone watn this component cable if its the same thing as the VA cables that already come with the wii?

No, the connector to the system is different. I just bought the Wii component cable from the Nintendo store for $30 plus shipping, about $35. Zelda looks MUCH nicer now, I must say.camzamanIf your TV has Red, Green, and Blue Inputs on the back that say "COMPONENT IN" then it's worth it to buy them, you get the best picture possible. If not, don't bother. The next best is S-Video, if your TV has that then buy those cables that's worth it too.
