conduit not using voice chat!!???!!!???

Are you going to use the voicechat device they showed at E3?

That is something that we talked about. I don't know if we're going to use it or not. It's one of those things where it's so new and we're at the point in the project where we need to know what we have to play with. I think we have already established that we probably won't be doing the 1:1 ratio. It was at E3 when they announced that, and it was at that point where we were already too far into the project to retrofit it.

I'm betting once WiiSpeak is released we'll get third party headsets that use the same technology.

If you have online with any modes other than Deathmatch, you need voice chat. Voice chat for online games should have been a requirement since 2002.

I thought they said they were using some type of voice chat though. Still, I don't really care either way, I'm not impressed by this game, not yet at least.

Well thats really odd... becuase right here http://gonintendo.com/?p=49618 is says it will feature voice chat with 16 player online..

I hope they are going to still have it in :?

omg its so bad lol when i play with my friends they have these taunts that make you so mad and you cant even scream at them its a shame

Right now, we're still getting it networking. We're still seeing what our limits are in terms of environment sizes and weapon sets and how many players we can get in there. It's still early, early on the multiplayer. We're just now wrapping up the single-player. We have a whole (different) cycle for (the multiplayer).Article

They would need to rewrite the engine the game runs on. Meaning that their approved engine would need to go through all the checks and balances it did before, just with the 1 foot space algorythm replaced by the full-body code.

And if Nintendo didn't provide them with full-body code, it would take 2-3 weeks researching to develop the data to even make the code usable. It would be another few months to make the code fun. That would push the winter 09 window to a summer 09 slot, which would be death for the timing of summer blockbuster action movies.

Halo 3 had very good art, so all is forgiven....all i ask is that the conduit devs put some effort into the art..i would gladly buy it, if that happened
