I have a few questions about The Conduit.
1. Does it have Splitscreen?
2. How many people can play online together?
3. Are there friendcodes online?

Nothing is set in stone, but from what the devs have said so far...
1. No
2. I can't remember.
3. Yes.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, the only thing that u said that didn't make my spirits completely dampered is that u can't remember how many it has online, so it could still have 16.I have a few questions about The Conduit.

1. No
2. 16
3. Not sure
Well, splitscreen has always been pretty crap tastic on the wii. dividing the screen up 4 ways just makes it too hard to use IR.
And I don't see the problem with firend codes.

Actually, I think Red Steel's splitscreen worked pretty well for the most part. Yeah it was a little difficult, but it still worked mostly.Â
And I don't mind friend codes, AS LONG as the game has a "play random people" mode, and it actually WORKS! And maybe online ranking. Maybe.
Friend codes? Oh no.I'm pretty sure they said somewhere you could play against randoms.
But can you still play against randoms?dylanmcc
I don't understand why people are asking if it will have random battles. Isn't that a given? I mean, are there ANY retail online wii games that don't have random match making?
I promise, the conduit will be like EVERY other wii game. Online play against friends with FCs (wii speak allowed), online play against random people without FCs (wii speak not allowed).

1. Not quite sure. During an interview on an IGN Nintendo podcast, High Voltage software said they were trying to work on a LAN connectivity for multiplayer. Whether they were able to do it, I don't know.Â
2. 16 would make sense, but if Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 can do 32 online, why can't the Conduit?
3. Unless Sega comes up with an alternative non friend code system, I would probably say yes.Â

1.No, but there may be LAN play.
2.Up to 16 people online with WiiSpeak.
3.Not yet known, yet since SEGA's publishing it, there's a possibility they'll have their own online servers.

If its like every other Wii game than online will probably stink. :(I don't understand why people are asking if it will have random battles. Isn't that a given? I mean, are there ANY retail online wii games that don't have random match making?

The lack of split-screen multiplayer is a big bummer for me. Even if the online play's perfect, I still enjoy playing games locally with friends.JAB991
I agree. There seems to be a shortage of local multiplayer on the wii. (Disregarding mini game collections, of course.)
The problem with splitsreen is that the console is displaying 2 different views at once so it requires more graphical power. With the conduit, High Voltage is pushing the wii very close to its limits so imagine displaying 2 conduits on one wii. yeah its not gonna work thats why ALL console games have to downgrade the graphics on splitscreen. a good example is mario kart on the wii. On single player it looks great especially the lighting, but on multiplayer it looks not as good because they get rid of bloom effects and other things as well.
Here they got rid of some effects if you cant tell the diffrence play the game if u have it, and u will be able to tell.
I hope you can tell the difference this. In this pic the main thing that should stand out is the lighting especially in the distance on the castle.
