[QUOTE="GabuEx"]What would the game use it for? I can't immediately think of anything that I've seen yet that would make use of it...gonzales1
Err there could be a lot of things that the game could use it for. Maybe just better motion sensing overall? Think outside of the box!
What in the game uses motion sensing, though? That's my point. The only thing I saw during the demo was thrusting the Wiimote forward to do a melee attack and moving the nunchuck to throw a grenade, and those definitely don't need M+. It's an FPS; FPSes are fundamentally mostly just point-and-click games, no precise motion sensing needed.

Yup yup. I can't add anything. Well, we shall see.
well there is that gun that you can twist so you can angle it in ways that will allow the bullet to curve around corners and obsticles and there is also the hand guided grenade launcher that you steer with the wiimote
I saw this article before and a lot of it was rather shaky information that contradicts things they said before. I thought it was fake

Rotation works fine without M+ (like the Wii menu) and the grenade follows the reticule. If it uses M+, it's for something unseen.

this is what I read as well. I dunno though...Maybe they have something they haven't showed us yet. We've only seen like 3 or 4 enviroments from what I've seen. (correct me if I'm wrong)
so maybe there's a new gun or some other type of puzzle methods that would require it? Who knows

Umm... Maybe like flicking your wrist to reload? :P
Stupid Idea but at the top of my head I can't really think of much
Maybe there will be some melee gameplay like hitting someone with your gun like in Halo
[QUOTE="-Wheels-"]M+ = more refined aiming. No one thought of this yet?air_wolf_cubedM+ has nothing to do with pointing
but it DOES have to do with tilt and such

Mercury Meltdown says it's fine the way it isi never liked mercury, but im just saying, there's got to be more to this than just point. there wery well could be melee stuff, maybe you hold your wii remote like a gun and where you move it it moves, and when the cursor is on the screen then thats when you can shoot, there are tons of possibilities

Really?! Aww, dude that sucks. I was hoping that they would use the d-pad for that.
Yeah, I just read that. Wonder how they'll use it though? :? Maybe for some puzzle parts or something? I sure hope HVS won't screw the game up by adding it.Gamespot Clearly states that High Voltage plans to implement M+ in thier PAX 2008 Conduit Coverage.

Specially because they're already plenty of options as for controls, they should seriously focus on making the game look as awesome as promised.

They do have melee gameplay almost exactly like in Halo, actually, but they're accomplishing that completely without MotionPlus.

Actually, it works amazingly well and is another one of those things where I wondered how I survived without it in FPSes (the other being IR aiming as opposed to dual-analog aiming). No longer do you have to go "okay now what was the melee button?" - you just thrust forward like you would with the gun and the game knows exactly what you mean.
Does it or does it not make the Wii-mote and Nunchuck wireless? That could be the easiest solution.
PS: Hi im new to here. Nice to meet you all.

Yeah High Voltage may use it in the future, but they didn't say it would be specifically for The Conduit.

Well Nintendo was suing some company in Japan if i remember right for bringing out a utility item which made the wire from the Nunchuck to the remote obsolet, At 1st this is what i assumed the Wii Motion plus periphial would do! This is the only rational idea which i can think of on why HV would want to use the Motion plus periphial for this game and not for anything really in paticular.

maybe M+ could make the aiming pointer alot better and more sensitive?

M+ does not help with the IR. Only the motion sensing.
