The only exception is GH3 guitar will work on RB2.

I saw that list in a different topic. RB2 for the Wii isn't scheduled for release until late December (per Amazon.com). I am suspecting that the GH:WT drums still have a chance to be compatible. Also the GH:WT guitar Hero should be compatible with RB2 because GH3 is. The only thing is I doubt the touch strip won't work, so maybe that is why they say it's not compatible.

RB2 game itself is mid December... bundle is Jan...
I dont really carealexh_99
Why the heck did you respond then? And I'm just relaying the information I have here. They have demos of the games and instruments that perhaps haven't had compatability entered in yet. I can only hope so.
P.S. it uses a typical USB microphone, any kind will work.
From what I've seen, the Wired compatibility blog is bogus on the Wii version. I want a true compatibility chart rather than one with half their facts straight... I trust Joystiqs chart a lot more since they find sources for both sides of the story.
From what we know, there is a slight possibility that Harmonix COULD program the game to allow function with the Guitar Hero drum set.(which would be nice since that mean I spend a whole $80 less) I'll wait for word from Harmonix themselves to see what the compatibility for Rock Band 2 is.

Amazon has the release date of December 22 for the game itself and December 30 for the bundle. If Harmonix knew the drums were making use of the Wii Control, they could have put code in as place holders. They had about of month development time from the time GW:WT was release until they needed to do code freeze. There is always hope. :)
