Hi. I played Wii sports around my friends house and thoughraly enjoyed it. I found the Wiimote and great change from the regular controler so I think I'm gonna get one. But I already have a 360 and a PC so I was only really looking for games that used the controler to its fullest. I was just wondering if there where any games any of you would recommend and was also wondering if any of you could tell me about how the controls work in ports like Splinter Cell 4 and so on?

How the controls work in ports - badly. So far Mortal Kombat is probably the first PS2 port to actually be improved by the controls.

EDIT 2: Oh my God I forgot Godfather. That game is awesome, truly EAs finest yet (for the Wii, anyway).

Also, try Zelda, Sonic, or SPM. All great games that don't tire you out quickly.

EDIT: I can't really say what games use it to the fullest. In terms of the games I said, I'd say Zelda = Sonic >>> SPM (in terms of using the Wiimote to the fullest).

Zelda is a great game that uses the remote thoroughly and if you like mini-games maybe try warioware or something.

Right now it seems that devs are still trying to figure out a good way to use the controls on ports but they are getting closer I think. I think that all of the exclusive games do a pretty good job of utilizing the motion stuff. Not all are great  and noticable but they make gaming a different experience.

Do I need to get a memory card or anything like that? Or does it have an internal harddrive?

If you want to play GCN games, you'll need a memory card, but for your everyday Wii titles, those save right onto the console.

I have a Wii and although i think its cool and has promise I am thoroughly disappointed with the games that are out or coming in the near future right now. If I were you i would wait for a while till they really start producing some good games (not just reconfigured ports of old cube games). When I first got the Wii I loved and was hooked on wii sports for about two weeks and since then it just sits. I also have zelda and lost interest in it quickly. It does use the new controls but I see more they could have done with them. If you want to spend 250 bucks to play a couple games then go ahead if I could do it again i would have waited.
