Ok, I'll try:
Pros:
- Motion Controls
- IR Pointer
- First Party Games(Mario, Metroid, Zelda etc.)
- Virtual Console(Downloadable Old-School games)
- Small compact console design
- WiiWare(Small downloadable new games)
Cons:
- Subpar Graphics
- Poor Third Party Support
- Some games with poor implemented motion controls
Also, if you're not sure what games to buy, go to this thread, and if you want good low priced games go here.
[QUOTE="Jdog30"]Online is great. Look at Mario Kart Wi, Mario Strikers Charged, Pokemon Battle Revolution, Guitar Hero 3 and Aerosmith, and Batallion Wars. All have great online.Cons: On-line is bad

Yeah, but when compared to the PS3's and 360's on-line it's bad. (No voice-chat.)
Get the system whose game library interests you the most. Don't let other people make decisions for you.Rocky32189i'm favoring the wii's library more. i'm not expecting to have much time to involve myself in games at college- simple, shallow games like mario kart and ssbb are more my style.

ha ha not in a negative way... i was referring to the story end of a game. there's no involved storyline or learning curve that demands exorbitant amounts of your time to grasp.[QUOTE="lancea34"][QUOTE="captainduncan"]i'm favoring the wii's library more. i'm not expecting to have much time to involve myself in games at college- simple, shallow games like mario kart and ssbb are more my style.[QUOTE="Rocky32189"]Get the system whose game library interests you the most. Well, SSBB does have an adventure mode with a bit of a storyline...:)
I understand what you mean - a paerson only has so much time for longer games. I find myself enjoying Mario Kart DS, Metroid Prime Hunters and other games like that which I can play online with people quick and easily, and have tons of fun. The Wii is great for a college student, because it has some simplicity and straight-to-the-point stuff. You can also download classic NES, SNES, N64 and other console games - which are simple to play but have just that degree of difficulty for weekends when you wanna go on a gaming binge. Plus some of the games have a memory-save function, that lets you pick up right where you left off on a rather difficult title.
If you like Dr. Mario and Mega Man, then you will be pleased to learn that there is a new version of Dr. Mario with online functionality, and an upcoming 9th Mega Man game in the same 8-Bit style as the others - as though they had never stopped making the games.
