Considering to buy a Wii console, looking for answers

Hi, Yeah so heres the story.

I owned a wii console some time ago and played zelda twilight princess, then i traded my console for an 360 instead, and today i own a 360 elite console.. but i want to buy an wii console aswell cause i like zelda games etc and ppl say adveture games are better on the wii console.. so my few questiond are

(And i do not know Shiet bout Wii so don't call me stupid and lazy for this questions, i know i am:P)

Are there any points Similiar to xbox acheivement pts?

Can you earn awards from games?

How does the avatar system works?

What games or what package should you buy, if you are like me, male in your early twenties likes to play action/adventure, fps etc..

Are Wii mostly for younger users? thats just the impression i get:S

What are the pro, cons of wii?

Any good threads i should look up?

No there are no "achievement points". I like trophies (I own a PS3, but who really cares? They are stupid when you stop to think about them :P)

You make a Mii similar to Xbox's Avatars but with no specific clothing. That being said the character creation is probably better.

I think Wii users are everywhere from 4 to 80 :P. Plenty of people in every age group.

hmmm pros are basically it is cheap, small, quiet, durable, and most of all has some amazing games on it that you just can't fin anywhere else. Cons are that it is not a powerhouse and its online is not the best.

I am also going to buy a Wii as they have zelda (amazing series) and othe great games that are not shooting and such. Love my PS3 but I really want a Wii in addition.

Can you earn awards from games? like i said some games have unlockables and stuff.

How does the avatar system works? you create a mii..or you donwload a mii...and that is your avatar..but not all games use them.

What games or what package should you buy, if you are like me, male in your early twenties likes to play action/adventure, fps etc.. get the 199 bundle with wiisports and m+ included... for fps experience on wii i recommend call of duty reflex.. for platforming galaxy 1 and 2... there some new fps and platforming games coming later this year!

Game was boring to me. Rather play an MMO.

As for your Mario question, those Mario games are awesome. Galaxy is a beast of a game! All good stuff.

Haha I owned RE4, Brawl, Metroid prime corruption (not trilogy), and SMG1 when I sold the system. I loved RE4, Brawl was great, MP3 was a letdown but still great, and SMG1 was pretty awesome as well. I gotta say my biggest dissapointment was MP3 but it still is great. I will definitley be picking up trilogy as I loved the whole series, especially MP1, and the controls on the Wii are WAY better then the GC.

Man, this is making me want to re-buy the Wii again. I want to play SMG2 pretty bad. With so much downtime until Halo Reach, I could really use some old classic Nintendo gaming that I always loved and grew up playing. Elian2530

LOL I hear ya, but it is because it gives you a quick cash flow for buying something else like another console. It is an impulse sell so you can perform an impulse buy. I did it, and now I want to buy a Wii again cause I know there are quite a few titles that will amaze me, especially some coming out like zelda, metroid, and DKC.

Can you earn awards from games? No.

How does the avatar system works? There's the Mii channel, you can make your own Mii and get to use it in a few games.

What are the pro, cons of wii? Pros: Best exclusives, many classics on virtual console,fun interactive games. Cons: Poor online features compared to other systems, no HD, and poor 3rd party and multi-plats, luckily you have the 360.

What made you change your mind? I am still thinking about my purchase, and want to make sure I won't regret repurchasing a Wii. Looking back on it, it seems at though I jumped the gun and actually had some great games, but I worry I will buy one and feel the same way again.

haha I see. I wasn't sure I should get SMG1 yet or what. I can't imagine SMG1 and SMG2 are all that fun to play back to back, so I am sort of concerned about that.
