I don't think it is the main internet feature it is just if you are in sleep mode and pass somebody on the street they will still have other internet.I don't want them to use tag mode as the main Internet feature. Canada and others places populations are way to spread out for it to work.

But that doesn't work very well outside of Japan, the population is very dense in Japan. But other places you could easily go all day without walking close by to someone who is doing the same thing

You actually don't have to be doing the same thing it is just they have to have their system in sleep mode and it doesn't matter what game you have in your system all of your games get updated if you have come into contact with somebody that owns that game.In southwestern Pennsylvania. Southeast of Pittsburgh.[QUOTE="Cruse34"]
@Nintendo_Ownes7
Where do you live?
Nintendo_Ownes7
Okay so thats not going to have a very high population density. Your chances of coming across other people in tag mode is much smaller than someone in Japan or even in a place like New York. I hope this tag mode is a small part of the online experience because outside of Japan its not going to work that well
It's not a replacement to Nintendo Wifi. It's a replacement to the old tag mode. It just means if you do ever pass some one who is as crazy as you, to be carrying a 3Ds around in public, then your DS's will trade info. It has nothing to do with actually playing online against other people.Raiko101
Whats wrong besides the possiblity of scratches of having your 3DS or DSi in your pocket??

lol scratches? What do you keep nails in your pocket :P Yeah the effectiveness of tag mode is diminished if you don't live in a major city or at least a place the behaves like one. But that doesn't mean its impossible for you catch someone, unless you live on top of a mountain alone. Its just a feature, its not something you have to use or is necessary for the systems function, its just a nice little option.Please Log In to post.
