Cool New Wii Game Announced Called MIDNIGHT

You play as the potential savior of mankind in a world overrun by vampires. After facing defeat against the vampires, humans now hide in the sewers. Using your sword, martial arts abilities, and new people found along the way you try to save mankind while learning about your estranged father and the secrets within you.

Gameplay

CSE has stated that Midnight is likely to receive an M rating. It has been described as "Zelda meeting Resident Evil." They plan to fully utilize the Wii's controller and nunchuk attachment. CSE has announced that Midnight will have the following features:

• Two playable characters involved in an epic, dark, macabre storyline
• Multiple combat strategies per character.
• 32 areas, including massive cities, desert wastelands, and mountain temples.

It has also been revealed that a variety of objects can be used as weapons, from swords to wood to bones, but no firearms will be available.

I dont mean to be a buzzkill

but Im pretty positive that CSE doesnt have a wii dev kit or publisher lined up.

It seems like theres less substance to CSEs games (orb and thorn I think) than there is to nibris' sadness. 

dont get me wrong.   all of these titles look very interesting and promising.   but there is very little keeping them from being nothing more than talk

They have no kit, no publisher, just some one year old promises based on the "teh Revolution will bring small devs to the top" rage of one year ago. Is that more than vaporware?

i firmly believe that CSE, along with Nibris, and other small devs around the country are getting an opportunity to work on the wii. it's not like nintendo is going to simply resist their support. things change, they might have aquired a dev kit just recently and are keeping it a secret. i seriously hope that somebody picks them up and helps them release some of their projects, they've got great ideas brewing. quote me on this, you are going to see their titles hit the wii, no hesitations attatched.

nibris already has a devkit, publisher & partners. so they are set.

Crossbeam Studios on the other hand doesn't seem to have a dev kit yet, or a publisher. But they have a fanbase going strong in their forums.

And Retro Studios started as a small indie developer as well, just like Nibris & Crossbeam studios.

I really hope that these small devs make it.  I think Nintendo needs to help out these people like Nibris and Crossbeam Studios and those guys making the PC FPS game on the feautre that GS is doing.

 MS helps out 3rd parties a LOT.  Nintendo should do the same to have good relations with them and promote a future partnership.

CSE's current project, Orb, is vaporware. Their supposed next title, Thorn, is allegedly in the planning stages. They aren't even pretending to work on this game. don't hold your breath.
