I was in the SSBB board and came across a cool topic by this guyIf Mario and Link ever swapped places.... Would Mario be able to beat Ocarina of Time? and Would Link be able to beat Super Mario 64? Discuss
Mario has super human strength (he can swing bowser by his tail) so he could get through most of the game but he doesn't have a mucial instrument so he couldn't teleport.

Yeah, he could, with the hook shot and the hover boots.
Yeah, but he'd have to start the game with those items.
Or toad could give those to him. Or you can get them in the first level, in which Link could be able to enter because it's near a platform and so he can jump from the edge to the painting.Or he could use the feather.

If link started with all of his items, and could use the hookshot and ALL of the items needed to beat the other game, then yes.
But mario wouldn't have much of a chance. Mostly because swinging everything by their tail would be useless, not everything you fight has one! And he also couldn't get the flying bosses, or teleport. IDK.

he can get the flying bosses he can fly around with his red wing cap adn ground pound there head till they get a headache then swing them from the head and bam! MArio saves the day
I would imagine (given the proper modifications) that playing as Mario in OoT would be fun as crazy :P **Who needs epona to cross the feild? just keep long jumping the entire way...:P **Water temple...darn this place blows... I need a blue tunic and iron boots...oh wait, Mario can swim freely! **low on health...jump into the nearest puddle! playing as link in SM64 might feel a bit slow, even if he could jump...
