My goodness its akward. I keep reaching for the side to grab it then realize its on tje back and impossible to grab without spinning the 3ds. A small complaint i know but an annoyance nonetheless.
The stylus on the original DS was on the back too except it was on the right. The Lite, DSi, and DSi XL had them on the right side and Nintendo decided to put the stylus on the back again? I don't get it...

I actually love where they put the stylus on the 3ds. I find it way move accessable and I like the fact my hand doesnt rub up against where it goes while playing.. on my ds lite my stylus doesnt even stay in place anymore cause my hand has caused it to come loose over the years , if i tilt my ds lite to the side my stylus falls right out.. So yeah I like where the 3ds stylus is now located.
I have very small slender hands (almost child size) , not sure if that makes a difference or not :P
I don't like where they put it either but I can deal with it. Maybe due to how the 3DS's insides were optimized, thats the only place they could make space for the stylus.
Eh I am not too fond either of where they put the DS stylus since I am so used to where it was on the Lite model, Eventually I will get used to it though.

yea the location for the stylus is less than optimal.... i like how it was on the lite etc, if you were in the middle of gameplay you could easily take it out without really missing anything.. something they will most likely address on the next model but its a small gripe for such a cool system
Doesn't bother me at all, then again, I've never owned a DS until the 3DS so I wouldn't know about the other ones. I think it's fine where it is to be honest, people just find little things to b**ch about, it's lame.
Yeah it is really stupid. It was much better on the right hand side where you can take it in and out without taking your eyes off the screen.This was a ridiculous call Nintendo and this new stylus seems more difficult to get out than the DSi one. This might look a bit like i'm having a go about nothing but to make a truly great product you have to remember all the little things because they count just as much.
@fourtwenty considering you haven't owned one of the others you can't possibly know where we are coming from. no disrespect.
