Cracks? Problems?

I was thinking about getting a ds recently because of the games that are coming out for it now. But I have heard many issues about the infamous "CRACK." Whats up with this? Any suggestions.

BTW I will probably still get the ds

i think only the early ds lites had this problem. but now i think nintendo has fixed this porblem. most of the cracked ds lites are usually the white ones and were brought soon after lauch.

i brought my ds lite 2 months ago. and i haven't had any problems with it
