So I just checked out the new article and videos on IGN. The game looks good and appears to have an interesting story. Has anyone else checked this game out? It looks like it will be a good addition to your library.jfkunrendered

I see where you're coming from, I don't care for spiders either. I mean they have a bunch of eyes, eight legs, fangs, they produce web, they drink the blood of their prey after they cocoon them and liquify their insides. And they have fur, bugs shouldn't have fur. They are true monsters.
But to stay on topic the game is looking better than expected.

lol, well you also have to play as a scorpion :D
It sounds like something very offbeat and interesting and if it meet expectations will be a title that everyone should at least consider taking a look at. (unless you're scared of spiders then you get a pass:P )
The only problem, that I'll repeat from last night, is that one attack button is on each side of the controller. Now that's fine on the right side of the controller because people have been mashing down buttons for a long time with their right hand.
On the left hand though it's not that intuitive. Someone last night said that people have been hitting shoulder buttons for a decade with their left hand but really, how many fighting/action type games have people (developer or user) gone out of their way to map one of the main attacks to the shoulder button?
That's the only reservation I have about the game for now.
It doesn't seem like a problem to me. B for the right pincher and Z for the left pincher and C for block. It seems like it would work well but we will see eventually I guess. But I really hope it turns out to be a good game. There doesn't seem to be any other good games coming out on the Wii in that time period.
i hyped this game up a long time ago when matt cass first announced it. everyone was like, "oh this game game has a crappy concept, and the graphics r bad."
ha, oh how times have changed

The visuals look good and the concept is very interesting. Good call. I didn't pass any type of judgment when they first announced it. If anything I was indifferent to the game. Now, I cant wait.

like cass said, hopefully THQ (whom i used to hate cause of their kiddie movie/tv games. eg: spongbob) will give more quality titles on the wii like capcom. guess we need to dip into our budget again to support THQ.
i feel wierd saying that.
Honestly, I'm surprised at THQ. It's like they decided to make a game with actual production values that doesn't contain the acronym "WWE". For the developer it's from, it looks excellent.
In comparison, though, it's got being competent nailed down, which means it's ahead of 85% of the other games on the system. I just hope they polish the crap out of it and give it *gasp* an actual marketing budget.
I am guessing that this game will be really good but it will follow down the path of MoH: H2, Zack and Wiki, Trauma Center: NB, and Pro Evolution 2008. Its gonna sell bad but will be fun. Its sad but its basically expected from Wii fans to ignore all these good games.Cyber-
It's not that Wii fans are ignoring the games, it's that Wii fans have no clue about them. Think about it: have you seen a single TV advertisement for any of those titles? I haven't. Not for a single one.
Advertisements on gaming sites are wastes of money. If you're going to a gaming site, you're probably already informed about the games coming out. Companies should focus on the consumers who watch TV more then they spend time on the internet.

The only game advertising I have seen for the Wii is the actual Wii and SSBB. I have seen countless PS3 and 360 game commercials. Army of Two, Call of Duty 4, Halo 3, and many more. Advertising couldn't hurt games at all. Its not that expensive and it boosts sales.

in part the blame still falls on Wii fans. If you look at some of the sales of these games you would know that even informed Wii users ignored some of these games. Its just annoying and bad for us. They will cease making more ambitious games like this and then try and make abunch bad versions of Wii Sports.
Not me, man, not me. Well I was like the concept is cool and I was interested but I wanna see gameplay first cuz frankly the trailer didn't show much. But now it seems that the execution is clearly going great and GameRadar said in their preview that it still has a long way into development. Another 3rd party game to check out people.i hyped this game up a long time ago when matt cass first announced it. everyone was like, "oh this game game has a crappy concept, and the graphics r bad."

I think more than anything the visuals are nice. Even in more open areas it seems they really have a good looking game.

using the shoulder button? I don't know, but I do know that in the N64 days the Z button was used by the left hand in a lot of games as the trigger button. Plus the Zelda games on the N64 used it alot for "z-targeting". I know its not exactly what you were mentioning but its the closest i could think. Maybe they thought it would be the same thing? Or at least just as easy to get use to.

Even if people are not used to it. It is something they can get used to. Like for SSBB I use the Wiimote/Nunchuk because I think its the best controller. The Z and C button are pretty important and I have to use them the whole time. If anything it would be good and probably faster for you to multitask in that way.
