You have got to be, by far, the smartest developeron the market as far as the wii goes. While im sure you are a modest company and would turn away at hearing such complements, i believe it should be said. You really do know what us wii owners want, sometimes better than WE do, and for that i can only commend you in the highest degree.

First off, you understood, even before nintendo, that when people play good games, they will want to play them again. Why would people want to take chances buying new games right? we can just as easily play games we already KNOW are good, and rely on you guys to carefully develop a unique set of controls for this remade oldie but a goodie. Just look at Okami, people loved it for the PS2, and hey, guess what, they STILL love it for the wii! only you guys could have seen that coming! Resident Evil 4 also, who would have guessed that people would actually PREFER shooting as if it was some sort of simulated reality? I'll tell you who would have guessed, YOU would have guessed it, Capcom.

You also realize that when people like a game, they want to play other games like it, enter Dead Rising: Chop 'Til You Drop. People liked Resident Evil 4's gameplay mechanics, and people liked dead rising, but only YOU, capcom, could please us wii owners by combining such things. Hopefully some day we can see a world where ALL of the games on wii play like Resident Evil 4, I'm sure with the sales you guys must be pushing with these games, other companies will be FORCED to follow suite. Next in line is EA's (secretly yours) new Dead Space: Extraction. Alot of people liked how this game played out on the competing systems, but EA (you) saw that us wii owners were sad that we didnt get anything from you guys for a while. You had earlier released a game, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, which was a pretty big hit amongst us kids, so why not turn the game we wanted into a game we know we'll like? You guys really know how to please us!

I must say that not even I saw Mega Man returning to his 8-bit roots. That was a very decent move. That way you dont REALLY sell us the whole game was ingenius too, but have little "extras" strewn about for us to buy, you guys really know how to make a customer feel like hes getting his money's worth. Just imagine if in, say, street fighter, you had to buy every unlockable character, that would really put our buying into persepctive when people say video games are a waste of money.

-insert via JordanElek

Next up, Zack and Wiki. Making a difficult puzzle game for veteran gamers was okay by itself, but aiming the design at children who would immediately get lost and frustrated was a stroke of genius. It was so great that you didn't even need to advertise it. Now we won't get another game like it, but that's just a testament to the greatness of Zack and Wiki. Anything like it would just be a disappointment in comparison.

-end of Jordan's part

You're new Resident Evil releases on wii are remakes of the original and Resident evil Zero, which i think is just great. Not Alot of people bought the gamecube, so its good that you are giving the people who havent had the chance to play it before the chance to. What i find especially heart warming is the fact that you are leaving the games virtually unchanged, who knows? maybe you could let us buy additional features for those who HAVE already played the games? eh, then again im sure you are much busier trying to get dead space people to show up on umbrella chronicles.

As all of the above reasons will clearly indicate, you guys at capcom should CLEARLY be indicted into some sort of wii developers hall of fame. if not for "excellence" in developer-ship, then in the lowest budget games that will still set us gamers back fifty bones. thanks alot.

Sarcastic post is sarcastic. I have actually been enjoying Capcom's remakes. I haven't had a chance to play many of these games, so it's been good to catch up with some of the gems of generations past. If you don't like it, send them a message by not buying their products. I, on the other hand, do like it (for the most part).

Although I must say there is nothing that pisses me off more than having to buy extras that should have been in the game to begin with.

This is pretty much spot on. I'll admit though, that I got Okami for the wii and it's been one of the best games I've played in a long time, so I'm greatful that it was ported over. And since I'm a sucker, if they made a copycat of Okami I might end up buying that too.

I just had to quote it. :P Anyways Garret, you do love you some sarcasm, don't you? IMO Capcom will start to deliver new games if DC does better than UC did, because right now their most successful games are not Wii exclusives.

EA makes Dead Space, not Capcom.

And no mention of Zack and Wiki? Surely Capcom showed its brilliance somehow in that game too, right?

Oh noes we are really in for it with Spyborgs and RE: DC :D. Regardless of the ports and on-rail shooters, Capcom is still the wii's strongest 3rd party developer.

You are right capcom is great. They know us Wii owners well. They know we don't want fighting games that are not on the VC (at least for in America). That is why these games like this are only on 360/ps3. They know that we don't want RE games that we control. They know we just like to play light gun shooters all day. And they know we don't want big name games. We want Spyborgs. That game really is the best thing ever. No online coop. Pixar movie game looks. Few characters to pick. Bad story. Waggle finish moves. That is the game we have been wanting to play on the wii. I just hope at E3 capcom announces that all the RE games released up until the gamecube are coming to the wii with no changes. That would make them the best third party wii devoloper ever. :D

I'd say Sega or Activision is Wii's strongest dev. Monster Hunter 3 might change that though, at least in Japan.

Its not just on the Wii - Resident Evil 5 Versus mode, Street Fighter IV purchasable costumes - this is what Capcom does people. They did it last gen with RE 1, 2 and 3, they did it with Street Fighter 2, Super Street Fighter 2, Super Duper Street Fighter 2: World Champion, Super Street Fighter: The World Warriors, Super Street Fighter Turbo Remix, Turbo HD Remix, Super Duper Mega Street Fighter 2 Turbo Extreme Fantastic HD Remix of a Remix: The Wide World Warriors Awesome Championship Death Match Edition.

Come on, would you expect anything less from a company that has people buying the same game millions of time since the fourth gen?

I say this, but I love Capcoms offerrings on the Wii and elsewhere

Sega maybe, but Activision always give us Wii owners the short-end of the stick, remember no Nazi Zombie mode.

I love your "Dear ______" letters! I'll admit, I only lightly skimmed over it, but I still loved it!

I'm excited for Darkside Chronicles actually. I've accepted all of the wii's horror titles' fates as being on rail shooters and I'm.... happy.

Not all just from Capcom and EA apparently, since their horror games are shooters. And whats the easiest type of shooter to make, thats right a rail shooter. Konami is giving us a real survival horror and its not even a port, the closest thing we get from Capcom are ports of ports. There is also real horror games like Fatal Frame and Feel but both are likely to never see US release. But yeah Capcom has done much in the way of support for the Wii the highlights are Megaman 9, perhaps the upcoming Monster Hunter 3 and a port of a 4 year old game in RE4.
