Ok, that was actually a really good review. My only problem is that they didn't talk more about the overworld problems like IGN did. I'd really like to know how much that actually effects the gameplay. But it seems like all the sources, IGN included, seem to be saying the same thing: great control, humor, and style. This was totally unexpected for me.

It makes sense, I suppose, considering the "mature" tastes of the GS staff. It seems that some reviewers focused more on the actually gameplay than the GTA formatted overworld that IGN complained about. The people that did gave the game a much better score. Still, it's worrysome that the fanboys at IGN did so much nit-picking with the game. That's something that GS is better known for. What's goin' on here?
Wow massive sleeper? I know it was sort of hyped and it has it's own "Buy NMH" campaign, but I don't think anyone expected a 9.0 here. Next to this, I'd say WarioWare and Zack and Wiki were sleepers. Although, IMO WarioWare wasn't as great as GS said it was.

Ok...so... 7.5 IGN... 9.0 GS.. so around 8.3.. pretty good :D:D
I think we can all say that the 7.8 rating from IGN is an abberation and does not reflect the opinion of most of the gaming community.wii360fan
IGN is always about the technical issues (eg. frame rate, responsiveness of controls, and other issues) that's why they rated the game so low because it was not technically sound. They said if you can overlook the technical shortcomings it is a great game. And IGN obviously didn't see over the technical shortcomings. But a 9.0 is always accepted from Gamespot.
I was thinking an 8, but instead got a 9!!!(I still don't know how much I should trust their review, but considering other Nintendo games rank low I'll go with it) I was going to buy it anyway, but this just makes me even happier
I guess i will jump along the band wagon and say how I'm shocled GameSpot gave it such a good score. I was shocked by the score IGN gave it, i like IGN more then any other game site, yes, including GameSpot. I listen to the editors podcast and they were hyping it up alot, and to give it a score like that?
I was so shocked that I did a back flip and hit my grandmother, then my sister got scared and ran out the house, then a car crashed into a pole, then the fire started, the firemen came and broke all my windows, also my front and back door. SO THANK YOU VERY MUCH GAMESPOT. you should have giving it a 7.5 and everything would be normal.
this is awesome news. i have read about 4-5 reviews for this game so far. i was not expecting GS to give it a 9, more like a 8, but wow, gamepro gave it a 4.5. i think IGN looked at tech, way to much for this game. they said the game doesnt have much replay value, but every other review i have read, begs to differ, i can't wait til tomorrow!!!!!!!
wow. now if only Ebgames canada actually got it tomorrow and not feb first, it would make me feel better..
