what do you guys think? I'm not sure its worth getting this when I already have rock band...

I'm a big fan of Guitar Hero but does anyone else think these games are starting to get a bit ridiculous? That trailer was hilarious IMO. If you want a "band" experience why don't you start a real band. Guitar Hero was a fun rythym game but it's starting to go too far.Rocky32189Yeah, because everyone knows how easy and cheap it is to start a band, much cheaper and easier than playing a rhythm game with friends.
[QUOTE="CheeChee_Macko"]Drums!? This is GUITAR Hero! What do you need drums for!?tgh93_29to play the dums? just a guess, they are fun and gh needs to make some competition for rock band or else rock band has a monopoly on rythym games in the near future
GUITAR Hero...
How are they playing without looking at a screen?!? Wow, they must be good.
You'd think they'd show...you know...some gameplay...

um hello they can clearly play guitar hero acoustically. I can for reptillia
and this is a 100% buy for me. well 100% get it for christmas so I don't have to buy for me.
I'm hoping that they release the game in multiple bundles.
a) just the game
b) the game and the new guitar
c) the everything bundle
If you can get through the game fully functional with the Les Paul, I'll just get the game. If the new guitar does something unbelievably awesome that the Les Paul can't, I'd get the game and the guitar. I wouldn't buy the drums or the mic regardless.

sadly, according to Activision, the guitar will do just that *tries to console crying money* "its ok my compadres! Icarus wont throw you away like that"

I'm guessing by "make some competition," you mean completley rip the idea from Harmonix.

i hate to break it to you, harmonix wasn't the 1st people to think of having a drum sim in their game. obviously their have been games like drum mania (im thinking thats the title) that have came out. Trust me, I'm no fan of activision what so ever (I hate every one of them) but they weren't Ripping off harmonix for the drums. I actually do think these drums look much better than the 1's with rockband because red octane and neversoft make way better hardware than EA. However, they should name this game We're trying to compete with rockband , instead of guitar hero, because thats all this is becoming

im guessing by "completley rip the idea from Harmonix" you mean "completely rip the idea from Konami ruler of rhythm. Does anyone know what the song is in this video? Voice sounds like Kravitz guitars kinda sound like hendrix. I'll cry tears of joy if hendrix songs are avalible even more if Voodoo child is included with the game. So should i still get rock band for the 3-5 months b4 GH4 comes out?

i sure as hell am
i accually play real drums and ive played guitar hero and rock band... i guess guitar hero just has the drums coming because everyone seemed to like the guitar hero equipment better than the rock band stuff and most people liked guitar hero better. but really it is Guitar hero drums will probably just feel tacked on... if it aint broken then dont fix it.
What about singing?
Because some people can't play guitar or drums and they want a cheaper, less difficult experience.[QUOTE="Rocky32189"]I'm a big fan of Guitar Hero but does anyone else think these games are starting to get a bit ridiculous? I understand that, but these games are almost nothing like playing real instruments. For me, Guitar Hero always appealed to me because it was a really fun timing/rythym game with excellent music. This whole "band simulation" thing is getting a bit crazy though. Inviting your friends over to wail on some plastic instruments and pretend you are rock stars... I don't know... it just sounds a bit over the top to me, and that trailer didn't help.

$$$ makes you do crazy things
You'd think Rock Band was already brutal enough on our wallets. How much is Guitar Hero going to cost now...?
I don't know about you guys, but I'm excited. I think I heard my wallet scream, but I don't mind, AS LONG AS we get DLC. No DLC = I'm not buying.remmbermytitans
Well, that's not going to happen unless we get a hard drive. Blame Nintendo for that one.
hahaha.. that trailer was soooooooo lame. an embarassment to GH players. The drum hardware looks cool though.
People were talking about "real" guitars and drums vs these...These virtual drums could possibly improve basic drumming skills, but playing guitar hero guitars will do next to nothing in improving abilities on an stringed guitar.
but yea.. bad trailer... they should have shown more footage of the drum set instead of the Hanna Montana crowd.
Do you think with the record and release your own songs option, there won't be any DLC? Also if I save money and don't have anything else to buy, would you think it would be a stupid move to buy this when I already have Rockband? I have a large room, and I'm a sucker for rhythm games.
Also, does anyone have any idea if a DDR game will be released any time soon?
EDIT: ^^ I mean a new DDR game that doesn't use the nunchuck and actually has techno/dance/electronic songs.
Yeah I Dont Think They Should Turn Guitar Hero Into a Full Band Game. I Mean, Its Called GUITAR HERO, Not BAND Hero. The Drums And Any Thing Else Wont Fit The Series, In My Opinion.iamstewie88
It should be good whilke they don't lower the ''guitar'''s dificulty like in rock band.
