Over at gonintendo.com there is a post about a Nintendo Power sweepstakes which has readers answering questions such as "Please indicate your level of interest in playable demo versions of Wii games" Another question asks readers if using WiiConnect24 would be the preffered method. Could this be the demo channel wii (pun intended) have all been waiting for?

The Wii could only hande a DS demo. I Wii game demo wouldn't even be likely to fit, especially if you had VC games downloaded. It'd be better to get demo discs with NP.
the only way i see demos being released is if a firmware update allowed people to play games directly off of SD cards. that way u basically increases the wii memory x 8 if u buy a 4 gb card. dont forget that the wii has 2 USB ports in the back so a harddrive could be possible.a hard drive would make alot of sense too becasue original VC games are coming in 08, so they need to release a hard drive.

4gb SD cards don't work with the Wii, and they're called Wiiware. Other than that, you're right.
ok, a portable storage would be nice, but I think Nintenod has the smarts to keep a demo good, but small on memory size. As far as I know, a game is usually less than 700MB since they don't take all of the memory most of the time. so giving us like 100MB is more than a good enough size for a good demo. look at the DS demos some of them are pretty good for only 4MB of data.

A firmware update would allow current Wii's to use SD cards or an HDD possibly.
Even if it could still only use up to 2GB SD cards but play off of them.
