Dewys Adventure Review,What!,6.0?!

I just looked at the Dewys adventure Review and they gave it a 6.0??? Whats the deal Gamespot!? Is Gamespot giving all Wii game ratings low?!. Just wondering what the People of the Wii forum think of their ratings. :?WiiMan21

it wasn't really hyped. It always looked kinda bad and i guess it was. The critic score is 6.5 so i guess it wasn't good to anyone else either.

Devs are spewing at fillers that look to be good in trailers and hype but don't live up to their standards.

Example: Dragon Blade - High potential, High Suckage.

Sigh. Games are based on a 1-10 scale. Five is average. Average AVERAGE!!!!

A six is fine for a game and I hate to tell you but a lot of games highly rated by critics often suck because the game reviewers are not objective. They are often bribed to give crappy or bugged games high ratings. Madden was full of bugs some quite game breaking other games that scored highly had to be recalled and bombed in sales. Guess what the reviewers never mentioned these issues because they were embargoed from doing so. Numerous articles have come out showing that games get certain scores because not on the game's merits but the perception of the game among gamers.

Do not trust reviews but read bunches of them and make up your own mind. Do not trust the score as the ultimate indicator of wheter or not to buy the game.

Nope. Not what I'm saying. Read it again. Read it twice if you need to. I never said that the game will be bad. What I said is that if you get your hopes up, no good comes out of it. What confuses you there? Here, I'll put it in layman's:

Hype a game and it turns out bad: you get upset.

Hype a game and it turns out good: nothing different. It's not like the game gets better just because you hyped it. It's still the same game. Just enjoy it when it comes out.

Kinda of what I expected. I never had any hope for this game, and too be honest I was scratching my head why everybody was looking forward too it. I'm still wondering what all the fuss for Elebits was about a few months back.Giff1988

Elebits?? That game rocked...it was hard though.

I don't see how anyone would have expected this game to get more than a 6.0. Plus, people complain too much when a game gets a 6 or 7. Those are not terrible scores. Isnt 5 or 6 average? If every game was rated an 8 or above then we would never really know what games are truely really good.

Plus, go to the game's main page and see what some user scores are; this can be helpful. Reviews are there for guidance but should not be the "be all, end all" when it comes to deciding if a game is good. I am now getting off of my little soap box.

Although it works both ways....Super Monkey Ball got wayyyyy too high of a rating, that game was crap.

ehh dont know wjy some ppl hyped it as 8-9 well for me im glad it got a 6 that bet i would do would be embrassinglolag

I kinda hoped for a 7.0 I'll probably rent it a $50 price tag is kinda high for the game imo.

cause it wasnt that good, it was basic, and didnt really seem to fit into an audience, cause they were right, kids would find this game too frusterating, and adults are put off by its style.walkerctranger

Are you completely wacko?? Banana Blitz didn't suck! Sure, it was hard as hell, but it was oh-so-satisfying.

I usually place my faith in the reviews of a magazine called GamesTM, they are serious games magazine, pitched towards a mature, hardcore audience. They scored Dewy's Adventure 7/10 which seems right on the mark if you ask me. I will hopefully be purchasing the game, so I urge you not to be perturbed by the reviews it recieves. If the game grabbed your interest in the first place it is likely issues such as the cute 'style' juxtaposed with sometimes frustrating difficulty will reduce your enjoyment.
