logically they would be equally powerful. They would kind of have to be. Time and space are kind what makes the universe, if they were to battle (or if you go by the anime movie, where they're constantly fighting), if one is more powerful than the other, the weaker one would be destroyed and then who knows what would happen?
although, if you were to throw giratina in there (this is going by the anime again), he might be more powerful, because in the 11th anime movie (giratina and the sky warrior) he kind of beat the snot out of dialga, though dialga may have been tired, but that's beside the point.
in the games i think theyre both equally powerfull, otherwise everyone would buy the game with the stronger one!
though if i had to choose a favorite, palkia, because he kind of looks like Godzilla.
