i havent played pokemon in about 5 or 6 years (since silver and gold) and then I see that a new one is coming out for ds. i just decided to look it up and to my suprise it looks pretty sweet. battles (with a ranking system) and trading online all over the world, randomly even with people you dont know. i think thats pretty amazing. i mean who doesnt want to own up online, and who doesnt want to trade for a pokemon, that your to lazy to catch or cant find, from someone on the other side of the planet. My story is about the same. I'm really looking forward to it on this format.
I can tell you what im going to be doing on April 22nd and beyond.

I've enjoyed each generation because they've always been solid RPGs, but I agree with the GSC generation being the best.. the Game Boy Advance titles lost some things that made the games great, but had things of their own to add to the mix.
Now, Diamond and Pearl are drawing the best aspects from each of the prior generations and, along with WiFi, I think they're going to rock.
I thought April was far off when the release dates were announced a few months ago, but the time has just flown by and I can't wait to pick them up.. right along with a DS headset that comes out that same week.
what kind of things were lost for the gamboy advance version? i never played the advanced ones.I've enjoyed each generation because they've always been solid RPGs, but I agree with the GSC generation being the best.. the Game Boy Advance titles lost some things that made the games great, but had things of their own to add to the mix.

[QUOTE="Drkr_Zen"]what kind of things were lost for the gamboy advance version? i never played the advanced ones. well, the day and night feature was awsome. and they took that out of the gba games.I've enjoyed each generation because they've always been solid RPGs, but I agree with the GSC generation being the best.. the Game Boy Advance titles lost some things that made the games great, but had things of their own to add to the mix.

Crystal stil is the best Pokemon game to date but Diamond looks like its going to be great. I have to say though, I don't think I'm gonna like the 3d though.

It isn't in 3D, though. It's still 2D sprites, but it has the pseudo 3D backgrounds, like Advance Wars or Final Fantasy on the SNES.
Anyway, yeah.. the main things taken out of the GBA Pokemon games were the day/night cycle, days of the week, Pokemon appearances based on day/night and/or time, along with a few other things like a radio. The GSC games just had a lot more content.
Crystal is by far the best pokemon to date, i still have it, and if i could find my SP charger id play it. I loved Ruby Saphire and emerald tho, great games. Pokemon is just great.
