Did anybody get Animal Crossing City Folk?

I just gotten it today and man it is fun.

And I just paid off my first house dept!

I bought and been playing the game for around 7 hours but its starting to piss me off i have spent over 50k on nook and he still wont remodel the storeelbert_b_23

First he has to ask you if you want it remodeled, then you answer yes and the next day it'll be remodeled.

Its only the first dept.... of 5, I think...

But the dept gets bigger and bigger.

5 minutes ago I paid off my second dept ;) (yes, I sped up the game a bit :P)

I've never played anything in the series or any other games like this (Sims, etc.). Would you recommend it or no?

Doesn't it come with WiiSpeak?

Damn Animal Crossing devs!

Id like to hear how good the wii speak works with it.flazzle

I used it earlier today, and it worked pretty well, actually.  Not too much clutter noise, and I didn't have to yell into it at all.  Actually, I tested out how well it worked by standing at the opposite end of the room and talking in my normal voice.  My friend said she could hear me just fine.

The only problem is there's a 2 second lag between when you talk and when your friend can hear you, so you have to take that into account to prevent talking over each other accidentally.  Other than that, it works fine.  It's no Xbox Live headset chat, but it does the job.
