Did anyone actually enjoy Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers?

I'm talking about this game.

I think this is one of the most udnerrated games on Wii. Too many people expected an RPG, and were left disappointed. I would classify this game more as a fantasy open world game. It has its problems, sure, but there are many good points about it, like the artistic styIe, the soudtrack, the story and the amount of content the game offers. Did anyone enjoy this game?

I got caught up in trying to get all of the medals, quite a few of which are really stupid. I plan on restarting it and scrapping the medal system altogether because as a game it grabbed me.

Never bothered looking at it after seeing the video - character design too female-ish "that's a boy?" & dubbed voice that doesn't fit character look.

I never bothered with it... I didn't like what I saw in the trailers and such and then it was so horribly received, so there just isn't much motivation to pick it up.

The fact that Square-Enix decided to release this game after Christmas tells me all I need to know about it, really. :P

Beyond that, though, the game never really looked that great, and seeing as how the concept had quite a few changes over the course of the game's development, expectations probably should have never been high to begin with. Just another example of a third party Wii game not living up to the promise at the end of the day.

When the game was first announced (I think it was at an E3) I was really hyped for it because they showed the airship and it looked like it was going to be an epic adventure. Then it disappeared for awhile and came back as more of an action/adventure looking game with little RPG element. That made me lose interest. Plus they came out with the trailer with the blue-grass country sounding song and I thought WTF. Plus I thought I read that type of music is in the game a lot... yeah... that's epic...

I shouldn't judge too harshly, I never did play the game.

The music actually has alot of great variety; some of the battle tunes are rocking, overworld tunes are nice and serene... it's got good variety.

I'm a little disappointed that the game has been received negatively by so many people... to me, at least, it's one of those games that has flaws but is good enough to overcome them.

It had some issues but overall I enjoyed it. Not the best game on the system but solid. I still have my copy and haven't even considered getting rid of it. Square Enix really did a disservice to it though with how they handled it but then again many 3rd parties were pretty stupid when it came to the Wii.NeoStar9

There is actually a ton of content to uncover if you look for it... getting all the medals is no easy task.

Well only half an option is really snarky.

Never played it. I watched the gameplay they showed off after the initial batch and it looked like a bunch of mini games and out of place junk.

WHY couldn't they just continue with the original's style and just add and improve upon it a ton? I enjoyed the game a lot, despite its many shortcomings, and think it could have been an amazing series if they had stuck with it.

overall, i really enjoyed it. i did get frustrated with it and some of its issues. but i thought it was a better rpg then FF13. i would have like swords instead of just having the force.da_chub

It wasn't really an RPG. More of an open world game with fantasy elements and ARPG esque battle system.
