You're absolutely right.

I went to play Gears and I started flailing with the control.. I actually felt weird and it took me a little while to get back into the rhythm.

The motions feel so natural to me now that I don't even notice it.

I also feel the same. Button smashing have become a thing of the past since I have been played the wii for the first time.

Honestly saying I'm playing Fire Emblem now, that it's quite vintage (regarding the use of the controller for beeing a wii game)... and there is the virtual console too...
But this doesn't change the fact that button smashing belongs to past.

I felt the same with my PSP.
I have a PSP and then my gf wanted animal crossing soooo badly that we bought a DS.
Well... i don't play my PSP anymore and i have really started to love the small DS and his pen.

Yeah I know what you're talking about, I felt like there is no way im going back to aiming with a stupid stick and pushing a button when hitting someone instead of taking a swing with the wiimote.

I started playing wind waker the other day and found myself trying to swing my hand to attack, it was pretty awkward. o_O I can play some games without feeling weird but others it just feels strange not having the Motion sensing.

I dumped my 360 so I could buy a Wii. But I picked up a load of cube games and a couple of pads and have found that their is a surprising feeling of loss using a pad. I think it could be one of the bravest innovations by a games company for a long time. I honestly think it could change gaming forever, and I've only been playing with the remote for a few weeks and it is a very new playing system for the developers. Just think of the potential for new forms of gameplay in years to come, because that is the thing that makes or breaks makes a game. I just hope Sony and Microsoft don't steal the innovation from Nintendo and throw cash at it and push them out because without Nintendo we would be playing with pads for the next 20yrs.
