it doesn't have as much content as brawl does it?

Is it dual-layered? Or are you asking if it is?
Of course it's a dual layered disk
The reason for the dual layered disk to find out which Wii's are faulty so they can be repaired.
It's also working perfectly, how do we know? Because Mario Kart owners are saying they're having trouble. That means those people that missed out on the Smash Bros and are now trying it out with the Mario Kart to see if their Wii's need repairing.

I really hope you don't belive that. That is just ludicrous to believe that Nintendo would put a game onto a dual layer disc just to find out if Wii's are faulty. They have no guarantee that everybody is going to buy the game so they wouldn't do that.

Yeah, that's the point
When Smash was released there were disk read errors, then Mario Kart was released and there were a bunch more. Well that obviously means that the people who had trouble with Mario Kart NEVER bought Smash Bros.
It makes sense to do it because not every users is going to buy one certain game that's on a dual layered disk and that means that you don't find out how many Wii's have this problem.
Since Nintendo is fixing any Wii with ther read error even if it's out of warranty free of cost to the users it makes sense that they want to stamp out this problem as quickly as possible. That means putting out another dual layer disk.
I just googled it and everything I found points to Mario Kart Wii being on a singled layer disc. Dual-layer discs cost more than singled layer discs (and it is a pretty significant difference when it comes to the number of games Nintendo is producing) that I doubt they would do what Jaysonguy suggested.

[QUOTE="Cyber-"]it is basically what the GC version was visually so i doubt it.

Wow, your method of investigatory research is astonishing.
It looks just like the Gamecube game visually, therefore it must not be Dual-Layer.....amazing.
Sorry, I need caffeine.
Ok...I made it known Im not sure but it seems like this game is not very large. Brawl almost could have been done without dual layered.
Its not dual layered. As someone mentioned before, dual layered discs are golden on the back -- SSBB is golden. MK Wii, according to europeans, is not golden on the back.Haziqonfire
Disks can be a lot of different colors, it just depends what's being used at the time.
