That has nothing to do at all.
No one cares about lawsuits, they care about stuff to play.
Hitler could be the head of a game studio and as long as it had a game of the year people would be buying it.

Lol the game would be called how to grow a mustache in 2 seconds.
I think Nintendo has always been struggling in one way or another with their consoles.
First in the NES era they were too strict with their third-party companies for an industry that was still beginning to grow. The SNES era was first overshadowed by the still-going-strong NES and the emerging N64, and both the SNES and the N64 suffered from failed peripherals and planned peripherals. The N64 was also difficult for developers to develop for and wound up with an even smaller library of games. The Gamecube was small, colorful and childlike, and Nintendo tried doing new things with their core franchises, which alienated many older gamers and turned away much of their third-party support - it also had poor online service, practically none at all, in comparison to Sony, and Microsoft's booming XBox Live service. To put icing on the cake, it was the least-powerful console of its generation.
This time Nintendo still has issues with their online service, the Wii is still the least-powerful console of its generation, the motion-control of the Wii remote is usually gimmicky, the library of quality games for the Wii is lacking, their release rate for virtual console and wiiware content leaves something to be desired and the storage space on the wii is poor.
So...I think they will always be plagued by something.
But Nintendo might not get complety back on there feet with qualit like the were long ago. I hope there next console will bring back the SNES feel to it.MECHAPIXEL
I think that as long as Nintendo's console is selling like hotcakes, that's what they're really interested in.

Well Selling hardware like hotcakes isn't the key to sucess,it's having a trustworthy fanbase (Here that Sega).

No such thing, really. Consumers are like crows, always distracted by the next bright shiny object. There are some people out there that will buy anything as long as it's got their favorite brand name on it, but the vast majority of people will buy what appeals to them and will not buy what doesn't. Any company that simply tries to rest on the laurels of their fanbase will inevitably run into problems.
Quite frankly I think that either of Nintendo's competitors would gladly trade places with Nintendo right now as far as the console market goes; any trashing of the Wii that goes on is simply because they pretty much have to say those things to try and maintain investor confidence.
lol i can not hold the entire wii library of good games in my hand i have 60 lol vc wii wiare and disc games altogether lol, crusin nitro bike zack and wiki mariokart wii super mario galaxy super paper mario metroid prime 3 corruption driver paralel lines resident evil 4 monster 4x4 world circuit dave mira bmx zeldatp call of duty 3 medal of honor heroes 2 medal of honor vanguard wwe 2008 (lacks modes but it is still enjoyable) marioparty 8 red steel farcry vengance petz dogs 2 my sims manhunt 2 house of the dead 2/3 and so on , this doesnt include upcoming sure to be hits like
wwe smack down vs raw 2009
starwars clone wars
time splitters 4
house of the dead overkill
quatum of the solace 007
dead rising chop til you drop
mad world
the condult
need for speed undercover -sounds like its gonna have cops this time unlike that last shody prostreet on wii ps3 or 360 , name any console it was still to shody for me ,
wii aint done yet
sadness disaster day of crisis,
so i think you all are under estimating nintendo in a major way
as well as its line up of both first and 3rd party games,
its total number tallied would out do ps3 or 360s ,
and honestly ps3 and 360 are great but all they offered so far is gta and fps stuff with the racing genre put in ,
nothing changes ,
they look awsome ,
but if their library continues to over do it self with first person shooters , i may as well stop buying games for the said systms , as far as online goes , its up to the third parties to emplement it , in to their games much like ps3s.
its free
and the few games that utilize it are actually good,
mariokart wii ssbb nitro bike mx vs atv untamed redsteel 2-rumored,
animal crossing wii-up coming
medal of honor heroes 2
dr mario online rx
some up coming games that are confirmed for online play
wwe 2009
some that have the potential
timesplitters 4
the condult
i think nba live has it as well ,
pokemon
guitar hero on tour or rock band i think has it , but ya ,, its nintendos first effort into the online scene remember sony wasnt as good as they are now when they started , same for microsoft , it took a yr for even microsof and that isnt free at all you pay 50 a year , so ya
i cant complain there, pc owns them all online
and a wii game does not have to be rated by so and so to be a good game you seen it several times where a good game such as mariokart 64 or duke nukem total meltdown or timesplitters future perfect (actuall only 3 yrs old, on the gc it got a 7. somthing , all because it didnt have online so what ps2 version no longer has online servers, and ya same game different rating but it is one of the best fpses of last gen even better then halo 2 and any fps today , graphics wise it was actually pretty good for its time , you couldnt tell a difference from cod2 360 to it ,
and games like driver paralel lines manhunt zelda tp red steel etc are pretty good for what it was, sure wiis graphics could be done better but in terms of overall gameplay these games offer hours of enjoyment , remember almost all360 ps3 games lack split screen , wiis games dont even if their online enable with the except of medal of honor heroes 2
so ya pretty much more replay value once this gen ends and all the servers get tooken down , ya 360 ps3 gonna be a bad choice after they go off the market, single player only if your interisted , im not
gta iv saints row wwe driver 5 timesplitters 4 and madden among a small othe portion of 2 player titles will stil have replay value but games like prey - a fps and usually they have split screen , and so on , youll be playing alone , so i d rethink on which consoles gonna with stand time , wii will for sure lol , how many familys and friends does every one have, compared to online once they shut it down ,
and wii is the number one choice as a party system or family or even single player system , each of these thinga caN STILL BE PLAYED when this gen ends,
ya any how, just because some one sues nintendo doesnt mean itll hurt wii , or nintendo half the time they settle it by $$$ or the other party suing loses or gets another way like an agreement,
sony was sued so many times lol , not just for the playstation , it doesnt hurt big companies that have been around for along time , now small companies like gameloft , sure theyll desperatelly hope not to get sued lol , which is probably why none of the current third party aside from atari or sega ever want to get into gaming consoles, lol,

The GameCube was the least powerful?
What are you talking about? It was on Par with the XBox. The PS2 was the least powerful.:|

These lawsuits aren't nearly as crippling as you're making them sound. Like most companies with a new product, they're constantly getting sued for patent infringement. Nintendo can afford to appeal for years until they get a ruling they like, or until the other party has to settle out of court. These lawsuits aren't that momentous, they're just an everyday hassle of a large company.
But I'm saying that the Wii is not perfect like there 3rd and 4th console (NES and SNES)MECHAPIXEL
What was there first two CONSOLES?
Color Tv Game and FamicomMECHAPIXELColor tv game I wouldn't consider a console, as it could only play variations of ONE game. And NES == Famicom.
I dont no what it is but Nintendo has been taking a stronging business approach than normal. They arent competing as hard with the other console and the "wii shortages" the large distances between nintendos titles. nintendos seems a lot more business based than before. Its become less of what can we do to make an enjoyable game that people will buy to how can we get people to buy things from us IMOwebbut
Long disntances between Nintendo titles? What? Nintendo has released atleast 3 titles this year, and HOW MANY last year? Theres been lots of Nintendo titlles released since the Wii launched. And the "Wii shortages" are not intentional like you're implying. They are no different than they were back in the NES days, its just a lot of kids now a days DON'T remember those days becuz they were not yet born.
Nintendo has gained ground. I have been gaming since the year the Atari died and NES took over. I have watched many console wars. NES and Sega Master system...Super Nes and the Sega Genesis. N64, Psone, Jaguar, Saturn when they all got into the mix together. The Ps2 versus Dreamcast, Xbox, and Gamecube. There have been so many memories. Yet, there are only a few really great games out there that have truly withstood the test of time and most of those are Nintendo first party exclusives. You have the PS3 to play Metal Gear Solid 4, and Xbox360 to play Halo. Those are those two system's main reason for existence as of this time. With Nintendo, you not only have the latest generation of Mario, Mario- Kart, F-Zero, Zelda, Smash Bros ect, but now with the virtual console, you can go back and get some of the greatest games from the console wars of years ago. The other thing I should mention....Metal Gear Solid 4 and Halo 3 did have record breaking sales as individual games...yet, the combined fan base of the Nintendo first party exclusives and even with the sales of Metal Gear Solid 4 and Halo 3 combined would come no where close too the sales of the combined sales totals of the Nintendo franchises. Nintendo fans are just more varied in their likes. No, I think the PS3 and Xbox are the ones that have lost groound. I am still a proud owner of a PS2...don't see myself becoming the owner of a PS3 any time soon.

ok the distances between nintendo arent that big but when the game is released seems to play a much more importaint role than b4. and maybe they were like that in the NES days but they werent like that with the N64 or the gamecube trying to get a wii is almost as bad as it was trying to get a Tickle me Elmo. and im not saying the shortage is intentional but they have a lot more controll on the situation then they let on and if they wanted to i think they could get them out faster.
ninty may have lost some ground with us hardcore gamers but... the new casual crowd more than makes up for their losses...
and for the most part, ninty fans from previous gens are still ninty fans today, myself included, i mean 2 straight suckish consoles and yet they still are on top and have barely sacrificed their hardcore gamer crowd...although i prly wont buy the next ninty console until mario zelda smash, pikmin some new franchises are out so like 3 years into its life. but i'm still gonna buy it because they still make quality games just they barely make them!!!!!
