I can't say I have. I always use the strap. Even if I'm only using it as a sideways controller which requires no waggling movement.

One time before the days of the Wiimote jackets we were playing Warioware so the controller was being passed around alot so we didnt put on the wrist strap. During one of the games the Wiimote flew out of my hand and left a dent in the roof omy brothers room but didnt even leave a scratch on the wiimote1

worst thing is though, this was before i bought my Wii and it was my mates Wii that i was borrowing :P

Me no, but friends yes. My friend put his hand through the lamp on the bottom of the ceiling fan smashing it to pieces and cutting up his had pretty bad. Personally, the worst I have done is broken a finger and destroyed a Wiimote in a hand to hand collision playing Mario Party 8 mini game Swing Kings.

I smashed the edge of my TV once while playing Wii sports Baseball. I got too into the game, and didn't realize that I was getting closer and closer to the TV. Didn't hurt myself, But It made a little scratch on the wiimote. Also, It nearly gave me a heart attack.

Yea my brother was kinda playin wii bowling for like 3 hours and once he took off the strap he let go and it flew and hit the window and he did this twice more. When we first got the wii we wouldn't use the silicon thing and the ceiling in the room where the wii is isn't that high and when we would bowl we would raise it really hight and unfortunatly we hit the light fixture and broke it , and we've done it where we hit the celing so much that it cracked the sensor on the remote but it STILL WORKS GREAT!!!8)

I have with my friends and so did my sister. I was playing tennis with my neighbors cousin and I was really getting into the game, I was wearing the wrist strap. Anyways, the strap BROKE and it went right through the wall and broke a picture that was right above it. My sister then was bowling on wii sports and the other one of my neighbors straps broke and it put a hole in the ceiling. Those were the original strap and my neighbor didn't bother calling nintendo to get the new wrist straps. That why they all got wrecked at her house LOL.

I've never had any problems getting that carried away with a wii remote, but then I don't play the more 'casual' games on the system. I can see where if you had a room full of people you would be constantly bashing eachother in the skull with your wii remotes (and the fists that hold them), but I dont think i would ever get so into shaking the wii remote that i would risk having it slip out of my hand and go flying through a window.

the damage you can do with a wii is insane, its like they're built to be weapons. i don't own a wii anymore but my friend recently put his remote through the screen while bowling, set him back about £500 for a new tv XD

they've done millions of £££ worth of damage to people and surroundings acording to this

then sudenly my friend took his hand up and smacked my lamp in my room, there where glass pices EVERYWHERE

and he also got a big "wiiscar" it was kinda funny and yet i had to pick up all the big glass pieces

and we also had to stop the bleeding :P

the wiimote also had 2 smal marks on the left side

I honestly don't see how you can damage your surroundings with the Wiimote, unless you're playing in your closet or you're some dork who makes sound effects and dramatic movements as they play The Force Unleashed.

Here's an equation for you to balance.

(Me + several shots + Wiimote) = (Me - laptop)

Yes, I know, all my fault.

Have not damaged my surroundings but there has been some physical punsiments...

The day we got our wii my spouse and I were trying out the boxing and really getting into it, moving around etc. All of a sudden he grabbed his knee and hit the floor, turns out he twisted his knee. It swelled up and he limped around for a couple of weeks. It was kind of funny to hear him have to explain that he took his knee out playing wii boxing.

My payback for laughing was getting whacked in the back with the remote when my son and I were playing tennis.

By surroundings does that include other people? Because I knee caped my friend pretty bad one time when he came running into the room after his brownies caught fire. I told him 350 degrees for thirty minutes, but no Mr. Iron Chef thinks he knows something I don't.

Nope, my AV equipment cost me a fortune so I have enough respect for it to wear the strap thing at all times, even my 4 year old has never taken off the strap or dropped the remote for that matter (and she plays it more than I do). My wife did spank me on the elbow playing Wii tennis though right on the funny bone I believe they call it, she claims it was an "accident" but its a little convenient I was handing her arse to her just before she did it .

My boyfriend has hit me in the right temple with a wiimote while playing a game of Monkey Ball, I've hit myself in the head with both the wiimote and the nunchuk while playing Samba De Amigo and my friend has broken a window with her wiimote when the Wii first launched.

Hmm, damage my surroundings? No.

But, my wiimote did fly out of my hand twice, but there was no damage. Theres a popular video going around YouTube though, showing an adult breaking his plasma TV with the wiimote :(

Most of my games use the nunchuck though, so it couldn't go that far anyways...

Me no, but my friend has whacked me in th face while playing the tennis games. My dad made a hole on my wall when hes was playing the baseball game, I told him to starp it. My little sister throw it out the window playing baseball too. The cord broke and the remote flew out the window, that was the last I was of it.

I always cover the remote with the jacket and have the strap on. The only way my remote gets damaged is by my evil charger strand. It leaves two long scratch marks down the bottom of the remote.

I use the Jacket and strap, but that bloody nunchuck! I was playing Bully:scolarship edition, and was fighting you need to punch like in WiiSport's Boxing, and well guess what happened, the Nunchuck slipped out my hand flying up in the air and then fastly swinging down hitting me in my groin! OUCH! Man that bloody hurt!
