As well its still possible to get the games via the GBA titles (which I honestly think are better) but its not like they are gone forever. And I have a hunch that there will be some sort of collection coming soon, it seems like a logical move for nintendo to do such a thing.

Exactly why Nintendo probably won't do it. The games they choose to make available for the Virtual Console are very questionable anyway, they always have been.
Nope I didn't buy DKC 1,2,3 from the virtual console. Because I kept my Super Nintendo and the original cartridges. That is the thing about virtual console games. They are here today. Gone tomorrow. I hope Nintendo continues the virtual console on the Wii U.
I enjoyed them on GBA too, but I have to say, the screen crunch and mono speaker did the most impressive parts of the games, the visuals and music, no favours. Still very good in GBA form though. Even if DKC is washed out.As well its still possible to get the games via the GBA titles (which I honestly think are better) but its not like they are gone forever. No, that's not how it is
The people who bought them still have them
Also while it's great you have the originals you're playing on a component setup
Yeah the Wii/ Wii U upscales VC games so they don't look as bad on an HDTV as hooking a SNES up directly. I tried that once before to play Mario All-star (before the Wii version was released) and it looked terrible, as did Mario 64. Having the games upscaled through component/HDMI is much better than running it from the native console. I can't play any old console on my TV that came out pre PS2. Also I bought all 3 DKC games on the VC and I still have them so it's all good and you can still redownload them if you need too. You just can't buy them if you didn't have it already. Although like everyone I think it's stupid they pulled them. I have no idea why they would do that. Please Log In to post.
